Original article at my blog, CD Foxwell's Erotic Den of Erotica
This is the first part in a series that promises to feature lucky Ryan's sexcapades across Europe and, perhaps, beyond, which will surely open up potential for all kinds of women to exploit our dashing hero. Even in this short period, Ryan finds himself pleasured by two different girls in two unusual places and we're left with the tantalising prospect of a third scenario with a rather different woman going into the next part of the story.

Publishers Ellora's Cave have started a 'For Men' range, which this story is a part of. It's told from a man's point of view, which produces differences both small and large to the more usual woman's perspective on an erotic story: instead of a woman feeling an orgasm radiating from her core, we get Ryan feeling tingles in his spine and a tenseness in his balls, for example. Moreover, the sex is mainly for his gratification (although the girls enjoy it), and so the roles from a more 'traditional' erotic tale are reversed as wide-eyed Ryan is helplessly, gratefully seduced by eager, sexual women.

Neither is Ryan a cliched tall, dark, mysterious, handsome leading man. He's certainly very attractive, but he's also insecure, a bit immature, naive and occasionally sweetly sensitive, such as when worrying about coming in a girl's mouth during a blow job. The women in the story are continually one step ahead of him: always bolder, stronger, more daring. Ryan just seems to get swept along for the very enjoyable ride.

He represents one kind of young male's ultimate fantasy - he's irresistible to women and has lots of guilt-free, no-strings sex. The consequence of this is that the sex scenes, enjoyable as they are, lack a little bit of tension: women want him and he allows them to pleasure him - they take the lead and there's never any doubt that he'll allow himself to be led. It will be interesting to see how Ryan's character develops; as he becomes more used to women wanting him at every turn, will he take it for granted? Will he become more predatory, less respectful? Will he ever be forced into a seduction of his own?

Some of the early dialogue between Kristian and Ryan felt, at least to me, a little stilted, or wooden, but perhaps that may settle down once we get to know Kristian a bit more and explore their friendship further. The sex scenes were inventive, hot and fun, and I hope there's scope to step up to something a little more risque in later episodes. I'm looking forward to the next part, which I can reveal, probably not exclusively, is coming soon. How will Ryan fare with the chic ladies of Paris?

When Lucy offered this for review I jumped at the chance, being thoroughly intrigued by this new line for men.

Written in Lucy's inimitable style, you can tell this is aimed at men, and I laughed and rolled my eyes quite a few times, as I came across thought processes and words that could have come straight out my teen sons mouths.

This is written entirely in the male pov and tells the story of two friends on a gap year off to explore the world and basically screw as many girls as they can, as you do I guess, when you're that age.

When Ryan's friend has to return home for a bit, it leaves Ryan on his own in London doing the tourist thing. Here is where I was smiling, because Lucy's vivid descriptions took me right back to my own student years, doing the tourist thing. Mind you, I didn't have as many 'adventures' as Ryan did, I can tell you.

Here is where I rolled my eyes a bit, because really, would one guy have that many encounters in such a short space of time? He is described as good looking, but really? lol

Like I said it's aimed at men, and I reckon Lucy has got it just right. I know my sons would have been cheering him on.

Now, Ryan could have come across as a bit of a tool, but I liked him. He was funny and just the right side of cocky with a certain dose of self doubt thrown in, as he can't really believe his luck either.

All in all an entertaining read. I'm not sure I will read any more in that line. I prefer a bit a more romance with my sex, lol, but it was an amusing insight into the male psyche.

As part of bringing the males into reading erotica, Ellora’s Cave has created a new line geared to male readers. Intrigued at the perspective, and interested in sampling this author’s work, I had to read this book. I am thrilled that I did.

With characters that were crafted with a great deal of fullness in this short read, Lucy Felthouse has managed to capture an intriguing series of sexual interludes that alternate between steamy and naughty with a dash of daring and bravado for effect. While I found the cockiness of Ryan more than slightly annoying, I did have to remember that his age and his attitude both fit the character and enhanced the story, a gap year is meant to be fun and carefree before the real work of university begins. Fortunately, Ryan wasn’t portrayed as a total tool, enough of the self-doubt and insecurities snuck in and provided a softening to his rough edges. Funnily enough, the late-teen early twenty year old male voice was incredibly strong and finely honed, making this book a real treat with an interesting voice and perspective.

I received an eBook copy for purpose of review for the Jeep Diva. I was not compensated for this review, and all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Most erotica is written from the female perspective - men's sexuality can be yucky and brutal, all that hunting and trapping the pussy or the bunny like it's a unicorn that needs to be annihilated. The Marquis de Sade got away with it, he was a man, of course, the first to define the genre, and it takes a brave girl to boldly go into the lexicon and psychology of the male protagonist. Lucy Felthouse has achieved the crossover in `A Taste of London' by making her male hero likeable, occasionally naive and giving her readers more sensuality than male posturing, more sex than sadism.

The wonderfully named Ryan Stonebridge is "doing Europe" with his buddy, Kristian. When Kristian has to hurry back home from London because of some family crisis, Ryan reminds him that "shagging is his number one priority," and continues this journey of carnal exploration alone. The sexual odyssey begins with a surprise scene of debauchery beneath the vaulted roof of a cathedral with an English Rose named Rose, an 18 year old green-eyed Goddess, and continues with Hayley and, well you get the picture, Ryan coming of age - among other things - in a witty, well-paced narrative that left me wanting more - which is rather fortunate, because young Ryan is off to Paris for the next leg of his adventure.

I was intrigued by the new line of erotica put out for men by Ellora's Cave, so decided to try out this steamy short by Lucy Felthouse.

Though Ms. Felthouse does an exceptional job in developing her main characters in such a sort time, and her description of London and the places her character visits are excellent, this book is definitely for men, some men, anyway. The story reads like a Penthouse "real life" story, lacking in tension and emotional content. There's no eroticism in my opinion. It's just a fuck story.

This is my first Lucy Felthouse book, but I would like to read others. After all, it wasn't her writing I didn't like, just this particular story that I wasn't fond of. And again, in all fairness, A Taste of London, is geared for men and I'm not one.

A quick, sex filled read that is best read in the comforts of home. Any reader looking for something erotically different, no romance, no HEA and a few fun flings, will enjoy reading A Taste of London.

Ryan seems to be giving London a wonderful taste of himself in the most intimate of ways. An exciting journey, more like an adventure with his longtime friend takes a turn and Ryan ends up solo for a bit. Within that time he gets to sample some feminine goodies and give a taste as well.

My first time reading anything completely from a man's perspective and it was a different experience. One I would not mind trying again :)

A Taste of London by Lucy Felthouse
Another one of Lucy’s great short stories that left me wanting more. Two guys (Ryan & Kristian) are traveling thru London when one gets a call to head home due to a family emergency. Ryan goes ahead as planned on their travels only to have the time of his life.
Meeting up with strange women in crazy places to make some great memories! The only negative thing I have to say about this book is that it ended too soon. It was just getting good! Well now I will have to read A Taste of Paris to see what happens next…I received this book as a review copy in return for an honest review

A short erotica tale for the Ellora's Cave Men line, this is one spicy story told from completely the male perspective. Hot. Daring. Naughty. And oh so male. But in Ms. Felthouse's usual awesome voice and style. Her work is easily by far the best in the erotica genre. This story is only missing a star because I missed not hearing the female pov, but this is not at fault of the author; After all, I'm not the target demographic here. I still really enjoyed Ryan's sexapades and would try more from the EC for men line.

Gap year shenanigans ..

Setting off an a gap year trip around Europe Ryan and Kristian have packed all the essentials - clothes, toiletries, passport, bumper box of condoms.

Unexpectedly Krisitan returns home their first night away and that bumper box starts to come in handy for Ryan - a couple of sordid sexy exploits before leaving London leaves Ryan wondering what will happen in Paris ... and the return of his wing man.

Great quick read - purely sex - no romance involved at all!

This line of erotica is for men. Really. In the style of Lucy Felthouse, the lusty thoughts of Ryan come alive as Ryan tours the sights of London and has an uplifting time foraging under women's skirts. While this story didn't connect with me as a female reader, I am sure any college age boy would be right there with Ryan, leering at all the girls and wondering what color panties they had on underneath those short Catholic school uniforms.

A light hearted, easy to read story with real settings and very unreal episodes.I found it more amusing than erotic as Ryan is too squeaky clean both physically and in his dialogue. But it's an enjoyable tale that fills a 30/40 minute spot.

The start of a Smexy gap year!

A Taste of London is #01 of 03 in the World of Sin Series by Lucy Felthouse. All 3 are currently published with all of them being on Audible. The author has plans for more in this series.

Peter Revel-Walsh narrates the series thus far.

Each one is complete into itself, but it is a continuing story.

This series is a continuing story arc so I recommend reading the books in order. That being said, the stories or of a nature that it wouldn't hurt if you read them out of order.

Length: 1 hr and 00 mins

Warning: SEX!
Yes, both in thoughts and actions, so if you do not like sex, then you should avoid.

Trigger Warnings
None that I see.
Please let me know if you think there should be.

♥ Story ♥

A Taste of London is the starting point of the gap year adventure. Ryan Stonebridge and his friend Kristian Hurst are heading off to travel the world with plans to experience it all, especially the sex. Kristian has to tap out early due to a family emergency, but promises to meet up in Paris. Ryan continues on alone, well, not quite alone.

The World of Sin Series is short and mostly about the sex, I will just warn you up front. Not knocking it, just letting you know what you are getting into. It's Smexy, and all told through Ryan's point of view.

This is my 2nd listen by Peter Revel-Walsh as my first was also a title by Lucy Felthouse. I thought he sounded familiar. He does have an accent which I found quite lovely and appropriate to the story. If you are one of those people that detest them, then just keep moving along.

This series kicks off on a high note even though Ryan had to be abandoned by his travelling friend, Kristian, he till manages to get a whole lot of sexy fun on the London leg of his world travels. I loved this erotic short. There were moments that had me laughing out loud and moments that had me sighing with pleasure.

One of my favourite things about listening to audiobooks is having the narrator 'paint the pictures for me with his performance. This is the first time I've listened to something narrated by Mr Revel-Walsh and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed his voice.

A wonderful narration and story. I'm off to listen to the next book in the series.

I have to say there's not a huge amount of plot going on yet, but it is a short story and there's only so much you can fit in. I have to say I'm impressed by the number of sexy scenes that are included and there are the foundations of a plot to be developed as the series continues. I'd get the next book to see how it develops, and of course for more hot sexy fun.

The narration was good overall, the male character voices were great as was the English accent, but the female voices left a lot to be desired, I found them a bit off-putting.

The first in a threesome of short stories following the antics of Ryan, a young man intent on enjoying every second of his single life on tour. Plenty of ladies are more than willing to lend Ryan a hand, along with other parts, on his adventure. A fun, easy-to-read quickie.

Book 1 in Felthouse's series World of Sin
Friends Ryan and Kristian are set for a gap year and travels when Kristian is pulled away. Ryan continues his time in London only to meet sexual adventure after sexual adventure and who is he to refuse women who want to please and be pleased? A short, fast paced erotic read / listen. Not a lot of storyline but plenty of steam. Looking forward to seeing what will happen when these two friends meet back up in Paris - in book 2...

Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!

This book sees friends Ryan and Kristian embark on their gap year adventures across Europe, starting in London. Unfortunately, Kristian has to head back home to deal with a family emergency which leaves Ryan alone to explore London. Whilst there, he has several unforgettable encounters with different women.

This book was excellent. I really loved the writing. The scenes were done and progressed in a way that felt natural was not repetitive. I felt the story was creative.

I listened to the audiobook version and the narrator was amazing and read the book in such a way that had me immersed in the story.

If I could give this zero stars I would. The only reason I finished this was because it was under 100 pages. Don’t read this please. Heres my list of reasons to literally pretend this book doesn’t exist:

•cringiest smut ever
•MC described a girl as having “blowjob lips” twice
•Weird comments about sexuality that are very much giving homophobia
•oddly descriptive passages, why did we need to know the name of all five streets in London he walked down?

A very quick one hour listen gifted to me through Story Origin. This is my voluntary review.
The narrator, with an appropriate accent did an ok job. I found him to be a little hard to under stand.
The story has no plot. Just lots of sex. Ryan is traveling through London and is hit on by multiple women. Definitely a man's fantasy read! Well written.
