Heaven in My Hand

Hardcover Book by Alice L. Humphreys. Book This book is a delight. Miss Alice introduces the reader to several students and non-students that caused hilarious, heart-wrenching, or heart-warming moments during her time as a first grade teacher. At times, I couldn't help but laugh out loud at her retellings; and at times, the sorrow was so deep that tears were demanded. Miss Alice used a style of English that made one think she was alive when the King James Bible was commissioned. This added to the overall charm of the book. She added romance, emotion, adventure, wit, and humor to these simple stories. As a teacher myself, it has made me desire to cherish my students more. I would recommend this book to anyone who either works with or simply loves children!

Definitely a book for the teachers of little ones. This was in my mother's library. I wonder if she had read it and liked it? Wish she was still around to ask. She sure had a way with people of any age. She was named well, Joy.

this is such a stinking cute books. it's truly a book that has a way of remembering the innocence of child hood. the writings a bit out dated but still easy to fallow.
