Woolwich Shines

Rate this book
The tragic events of 22 May 2013 are etched firmly in the minds of many people throughout the world. This small book of poems was written in response to this dreadful day. The poem ‘Woolwich Shines’ was my way of dealing with the senseless violence against the then as yet un-named soldier. We now know him to be Drummer Lee Rigby. The remainder of the following poems were written in the days following his death and are dedicated to his memory and to the memory of all our Armed Forces who have paid the ultimate sacrifice whilst serving their country. Proceeds from this book will be forwarded to Forces Charities.
