Ken Duxbury (1923-2016) had a long career that included service in the Royal Navy, sailing instruction, founding a Cornish boatbuilding business, writing on sailing for national newspapers and magazines, and the publication of practical books on small boat sailing and navigation - as well as accounts of sailing in his own boat the Lugworm.
Oh what a delightful book!! The author traveled around Greece in an open dinghy with his wife during the early 70s. The stark contrast to how tourism has changed the country could not be more obvious. And still, the beauty of the country is still the same. So many of the sights, smells, sounds are still the same today on a summer day on Greece. It was a true joy to read this. Alone to pull this off was a great feat. I loved how people were portrayed. I would have given five stars, but the author did not include the picture of the statue he unearthed and he insults donkeys, so four stars it is, haha!!
