The P.O.: A Probation Officer in Chicago

Rate this book
A young man takes a job as a probation officer in Chicago to bide his time before moving on to bigger and better things, only to get stuck in the job, become very cynical, build a life and circle of friends and associates with the department and ultimately becomes a lifer in the department.

Approximately 500 pages, took over five years of work. If you buy it, I truly hope you enjoy it because it took thousands of hours and being a P.O. is a difficult and thankless job. The so-called community corrections system is beyond broken. Broken would be a 1,000% improvement.

I no longer work at this thankless job, but will always remember my long years as a P.O.
