I write this text as a certified scrum master with experience in international blue chip companies dating back to 1999. That experience includes leading projects for the BBC, General Electric, Oracle, BSkyB, HiT Entertainment (responsible for Angelina Ballerina, Bob the builder and other titles that you love watching with your kids or siblings but won’t admit to) and Razorfish. These roles have all involved leadership on a wealth of mobile, internet TV and web software projects. I have played the role of scrum master and in the earlier years, of team lead and technical lead. I have had the privilege of running projects and rolling out working practices in market leading organisations from start to finish.

When needing to get back up to speed on SCRUM I have always grabbed a book, but discovering there is an audiobook for this now is fantastic. This is a no nonsense guide to SCRUM that gets to the point and suggests best practices. If you need to be ready to understand the concepts and utilize them rapidly this book will allow you to understand how the technical terms are used and the author takes you through the process rapidly. This no fluff approach makes this book information instantly transferable to whatever project you’re working on. I recommend this as a valuable read and listen!
I really liked this book because it starts from the beginning. It is a little repetitive, but for me this was a good thing since it was like studying and I found myself learning the terms and procedures.
