This was a very creative fun Reader's Clubhouse level 1 book. Very basic text per pages but told a story as you read along. The illustrations were clear and bright and went along with the story. Highlighting various zoo animals and Doc Block (a penguin) helps out. In the back are pages for an adult to help a child about real zoo, and to make a paper plate zoo animal and then spelling words so if you are using the book as a reading book you have ready made spelling list. Very nicely done, my 4 year old granddaughter loved me reading it to her. And then she took the book and looked at it herself.
