Although I had heard of the author, and already had his Great Chefs book, I knew very little about him. This is a relatively short book, but well worth reading. A pretty amazing life, given that he was in a wheelchair from a very early age it didn't stop him from traveling to some very exotic places, including the Sahara Desert! Being born into a wealthy family helped, but he did a lot with his life, nonetheless.
