Back when I was in elementary school, we would have book fairs. While most of the kids were buying Captain Underpants, I was buying shark books. Sharkman was the first of these books, but not the last. However, in all the years I’ve had this book, I think this was my first time reading it the whole way through.
It’s incredible to see the full circle I’ve made. This year will be my 21st birthday, and my biggest wish is to go to Australia and join Rodney Fox’s expedition to go cage diving with Great Whites! Reading this book gave me more inspiration and excitement to fulfill this dream though I am, deep down, absolutely terrified of the thought. This just goes to show that a little kid’s fascination can lead to something big later on! Thank you, Rodney Fox, for helping me learn more about these magnificent creatures!
