Absolute marvel of human creativity and intellect. Most readers tend to only pick this one up briefly, unable to truly comprehend this masterpiece. A travesty, really.

My 7 year old is now reading confidently by herself and I got this dictionary to help her with the words she comes across that she doesn't know the meanings of.

It's a good size, at 15.2 x 10.8 x 4.4 cm, it fits in the hand and is perfect for having by her bed.

There is a set of blue coloured tags down the side for each letter of the alphabet and each page has the first / last word in clear blue writing. Each heading is likewise in a clear blue with the definition in black. Definitions are well written and pitched, and there is a really good range of words. Clear indication given as appropriate of part of speech, when and how to use the word including, history, pronunciation, similar words. There are also useful spelling and grammar notes such as mnemoics. Perfect for my girl at her stage.
