Xavior and Gregor are expecting!

Only in the second year of their relationship, life together seems more complicated than ever. With family, friends, and love surrounding the couple as they welcomed new life into the world and plan for the future.

Just as Gregor and Xavior are starting to navigate the bliss and trials of parenthood, Xavior receives word about his brother, Denis. Stationed on one of the many moonbases pursuing scientific research, Xavior’s informed that there was an accident. No one is sure what happened, but Denis currently rests on the Moon’s surface, stuck in an unending phoenix cycle, caught between life and death.

The United Science & Exploration Association asks Xavior and Gregor to help rescue Denis via Gregor’s ability. The guys agree, and family and friends rally to help with this unexpected and unprecedented mission to have a Saint George Knight save one of the world’s most renowned dragon minds from the surface of the moon.

Once the rescue mission begins, other things come to light, and the pair wonder if they are in over their heads. Each new secret revealed to them threatens to jeopardize the future Gregor and Xavior hope to have. Can they mount a rescue and return to their life together? The cost may be more than the dragon and knight duo had anticipated.

And the quirkiness continues in Book # 3 - goes straight on from book 2 (so yes, read them in order !!!). They have solidified their relationship and now going one step further - an egg!! But it does come with it's own set of issues, and while they are coping with that, there's also family problems that arise and they really really can't decline to help of course. The storyline and plot is very detailed and yes, there's a bit to take on, but it just adds depth to the story. Love the MC's and the rest of the characters. Keep an open mind on this book as it does go onto a different direction, as in....well, you'll see !! And I truly think you won't be disappointed.

Xavior and Gregor's relationship is still very new and they suddenly find themselves as expectant fathers. Now they have twins and all that entails. As if that's not enough they are asked to save Xavior's brother after an accident on the moon where he's a leading scientist. Doing what's right is hard when both options are right, and doing nothing is unacceptable. This makes for some interesting reading as the characters debate their options and find solutions that will work for them and their new family. I'm looking forward to the next in the series.

Still great storytelling but a very abrupt cut off to this book. There are some after elements at the end and I actually thought they were part of the story because I didn’t realize that the book was over. It’s not much of a cliffhanger but feels weird, like the author M.L. Eaden just put down their pen and stopped writing one day and then someone accidentally thought they were finished and published it. Again I like the story telling but it’s like the author tried to cram too much in and the book could use a good edit. The scenes that are about a certain type of adult activity are better in this book although part of that is the evolution of Gregor’s and Xavior’s relationship.
So why four stars for a book with problems? I would rather look at the good parts of books and I have a good idea of how hard it is to publish a book. It is a great story too. Eminently readable and fun.

I enjoyed The Dragon's Egg by M.L. Eaden. It's the third book in the Saint George Chronicles series. The books need to be read in order to understand what is going on. The book has an abrupt ending, which tells me that there will be another book in the series. So much happens in this story, and I enjoyed what happens and the consequences of some of their decisions. I can't wait to read the next book when it comes out to find out what happens next.
