There are plenty of general dog and puppy training books around these days, so it's good to see some more specialist ones coming in. There are also plenty of Reactive dogs out and about, (came across one just today). Many of then cause their owners much embarrassment as they lunge at other dogs and probably cause them headaches at home as well.. So while this book covers a lot of common ground with the established basic training tips, it does give special attention to how to train the more difficult dog, who has been unlucky enough to be brought up in difficult circumstances and reacts as it thinks is best. There's also a section of advice aimed directly at the owner, as they can get reactive too... A calm owner leads a calm dog.
I also valued the handy checklists at the back as recording the instances where a dog has reacted is part of coming up with the solution.
