If you'd like your baby to stand out in a crowded world, then an unusual name is guaranteed to give them a head start. This book contains hundreds of rare exotic, beautiful and unusual names for boys and girls.
Stewart writes The Ballashiels Mysteries, a series of semi-comedic archaeological adventures (The Sphinx Swindle, The Dali Diaries, The Chaplin Conspiracy and others). He is also the author of Oversleeper (under the Matt Mountebank pseudonym), plus The Reluctant Rescue and a number of non fiction books including How to be a Writer. His scriptwriting includes Pokémon and The Mystery of Rennes-le-Chateau. He has a PhD in Creative Writing, specialising in P.G. Wodehouse.
I'm honestly curious if this book is a joke. The "unusual names" are anything from super common, top 30 names, like Penelope and Ruby, to ridiculous choices, like Tinker Bell and Cinderella. Kid you not. There were equally absurd other ones too. While there a few less common ones, such as Heidi or Deidre, most fall into the formerly mentioned categories.
