Renada's lineage reveals ties to a powerful family, while Masego's magical past unveils a sinister plot. Amidst chaos and danger, they must confront their demons and decide whether to embrace the darkness for love's sake.
His Dark Magic is a sultry fantasy romance about love, sacrifice, and the unbreakable love that bonds two lives together.
Masego and Renada crosspaths when Renada is making a mural in the gym Masego attends. Masego feels a spark but is denying the spark. Masego has magic powers and has been told all his life when he meets his soulmate theres going to be a spark felt. Renada is also dealing with her ain’t shit ex. While I liked the story there were parts I side eyed heavily. The video Carter obtained how did he obtain it but nobody else saw what occurred but him. Renada mother and father both ain’t shit especially knowing the effect her mother had on her mental health. I also didn’t like their ending 😒; forgiveness was given too easily. I loved the death scenes cause baby Masego wasn’t playing. I loved when Masego finally let his feelings in and realized he loved/ was in love with Renada. I can’t wait to see what else Blake has coming as these debuts have been amazing.
3.5 ish ⭐️. I didn’t enjoy this one by Blake Moore as much as I did the other. It was a rollercoaster of lack luster and interesting all throughout this read. I would get to a point where I could have just stopped reading it all together, but would start back and then it was like I didn’t want to put it down. This happened several times throughout. Overall a good story. I love the fantasy/magical aspects of the stories.
I really, really, wanted to love this story, but I could not. The fantasy part just isn't my cup of tea. I support new artist and I will gladly read other books outside of this genre. For readers who want this type of adventure, give it a try.
This was a pretty good book. Masego Steele is a doctor, handsome, and has magic powers. He's the type of man that aint worried about a relationship, just one night stands. That is until he meets Renada Worthy, a woman who makes his magic spike and he cant keep his mind off of. From there chaos ensues. Masego and Renada are two of the most frustrating characters I have read recently. The way these two used magical passion to bypass all of the serious, life threatening events happening around them had me yelling at the book. Like sir...ma'am...there's danger afoot 😂. I liked the magical elements that were in this book, though some parts left me confused. I overall enjoyed the story and would recommend this if your ready to dip your toe in fantasy romance. It's an easy and quick read with 183 pages! *rating is 3.5*
This is the second book that I've read by this author and once again, I wasn't disappointed. Masego and Renada meet when Renada is hired to do a mural where Masego works out. Masego is intrigued by Renada from the beginning. He tried to deny his feelings but his magic wouldn't let him. I loved the magical aspect included in the book and how it involved meeting your one. Before long, they enter into a passionate relationship. I also loved the personal relationships between Masego and his cuz-bro, Tayo, and between Renada and her bestie, Chloe. Chloe also finding love was a great addition as well. I didn't feel sorry for Donovan and Carter because they got what they deserved. Passion, love, fantasy and treachery all makes this a book that I recommend.
I just as okay, it was a lot going on in the story the two main characters just rushed a relationship with secrets and used sex to avoid conversations that needed to be had. The male main character used his magic to be manipulative as far as to push the girl into what he wanted her to do. Ended up not finishing it.
Absolutely amazing. I had to hold my breath a few times cause I wasn’t ready. Donovan and Carter both deserved what they got. Loved the bestie finding love along with Renada. Glad Renada and Masego got their happy ending.
I really enjoyed this book. This is my first time reading a book by this author, and I was not disappointed. Renada was relatable and likable. I like that although the parents were a part of a story they didn't make the story. I'll definitely be reading another book by this Author
This was a cute paranormal. I'm a fan of magic/witches/rootwork books and this one was soild. I liked the characters and sub-characters. I wish the world building aspect went more in depth. I will definitely be reading more from this author
It’s very good and it’s an original story and concept which I love. I love that the characters are so real and relatable. I’ve downloaded her other books this book made me a fan and I can’t wait to read more of Moore’s work.
They book had my attention from the first page to end, it was definitely a lot going on when came Masego and Renada, they both was dealing with childhood trauma as well as learning how to love someone and trust each other. But I loved how the story ended. 10/10
