It was really interesting to read this book after taking classes w/ Dr. Heaney and interacting with some of the theologians talked about in this book. She helpfully lifts up important themes running between these thinkers in Latino/a/c theologies. I loved the way she situated the book in her own story and how these thinkers and ideas have influenced her life, theology, and notion of God. I also found the conversation partners at the end of each chapter to be helpful in contextualizing how the ideas in the chapter are lived out in Latino/a/x communities.
