As a kid, I wanted to be a writer. After several fun careers, I've finally realized that dream.

It's both easier and more difficult than I thought it would be. When the words are flowing, it's miraculous. I feel like I'm taking dictation, typing the words that are meant to be written.

When the ideas don't come, I go for a run, think about what I would love to read, then start again.

Little by little, stories take shape, characters get into trouble, work their way out, and a book gets written.

Now, with over 17,000 5-star reviews of my books, I feel incredibly blessed that people enjoy my stories.

We also have a fun community on Facebook at AuthorBradLee. I post progress reports of my writing projects plus other fun stuff. Please join us if you're around.

When not writing, I'm an avid hiker and photographer. I love getting out in nature to take pictures.

A terrific addition to the series!

This was a terrific collection of short stories that I really enjoyed. They're a great way to get to know more about each character, as well as how they use their social gatherings to solidify the bonds between them, and express their thoughts on their past/present missions through the stories that they share (which the truth may or may not be embellished! Lol!!). They use the stories to deepen their camaraderie between the teammates, as well as use them (and the actual telling of the stories) as a type of therapy.
It's a fantastic addition to this great series! I would love to see the after-action stories included in the actual books in the future.

●●Do not read this book until you have read books #1-6 in this series! The author has listed the preferred reading order in the beginning of this book, which should be followed. This book has spoilers about the books listed above. They're all absolutely fantastic stories, and you certainly won't be disappointed!

I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

☆ Mr. Lee, it would be helpful, and greatly appreciated if this book was included with the original series listing. I would have read it in the preferred reading order, but I didn't know about this book until I was looking at your Amazon Author page. I can't wait for the next release in this series, and truly hope that there will be many more stories in the future! Thank you!

This was fun!! I became a fan of Brad Lee's "Team of..." series a few months ago and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the team members as they worked together to solve crises, having recently finished "Team of Six". This book originally started as short stories that he sent out to his email followers, apparently; I never read them that way but follow Brad on his Facebook page and learned about it there. I am generally not a fan of "short stories", but was intrigued by the concept of this book -- recountings of their exploits while on various missions in the past, generally told while relaxing at Axe's cabin while winding down from current missions. The story-telling helps to round out each of the team members, adding a more "human" quality to each, how their call names came to be, etc. Lots of humor to help with the seriousness of their missions. Highly recommend it!

Nice Series Filler
This book of Shorts fills in the gaps that may be in The Unsanctioned Asset series. Set as the group of clandestine warriors RandR after a mission. As most things like this go, they enjoy sitting around the fire and BS-ing. They pull out tales of past missions, add some bluff and stuff and it terms into a great tall tale. Only, they aren't necessarily fiction or overblown. While the characters are blowing off steam and calming their souls, the reading audience gets to learn more about the background and capabilities of the characters and what has made them who they are. The author lets us know which shorts come after which episode which is so helpful! Loved it.

So There I Was...: The After-Action Short Stories of a Team of Many: Axe, Haley, Nalen, Mad Dog, and Others from the Unsanctioned Asset Series|210215980]

Fun stories filling gaps between missions with memories of past actions that made them what they have become. Having read all the books, this one adds some joys of sitting with old friends and remembering the evolution of their relationships.

So There I Was

So There I Was, a fantastic addition to the Unsanctioned Asset Series. Great stories told by some of our favorite Characters missions. Used to unwind, educate, solidify the teams as they relaxed at Axe's cabin post mission. Plus we got to find out how some of the team members got their handles. Make me want to revisit some of the books again. Loved this book.

Highly entertaining and enlightening

Reveals more about the team, their history, their mindset
The stories are very short and you need to take the hints About reading X book before you read the short story
My only issue with it all are the russian stories and the Presidential ones, they have no baring on the team
