We, ’The English‘, are at one and the same time, modern, up-to-date and yet, we still have our heritages from a thousand years or more, that pull us back to our past - the times that made US, the English people. I have tried to capture the unique-ness of being English and proud of it. How we triumph over life’s little problems, of adding new and exciting ways to combat life in all its eccentricities, and of finding new ways of being ‘entirely English’.

Ten Charming Little Bits of England

Ms. Steward has served up a charming tea, with bits of England in every tiny morsel. Her short, yet lush descriptions are poetic prose. She captures a moment in a character's life that allows you to see the world in different times and through different eyes...always meaningful, always thought-provoking, always seeing the beauty of her beloved English way of life.

I hope Steward continues to share the whimsical, the practical, the history, and the poetry of her vivid imagination.
