I stayed up late to finish this book. Once I start reading one of Ashley Farleys books, I become really invested in the characters. Each member of this family is so different and interesting. I enjoyed watching how the mystery of Harpers birth parents came together. One of the sisters ventures back home to SC from Washington state. I enjoyed her adventures the most. Ashley writes books with strong and courageous women starting over and working through many challenges. I always look forward to her next book release!

Songbird's Second Chance is the third book in the Marsh Point series. This is Savannah's story about leaving home and staying away for 30 years, her homecoming, and second chance with her family.
It's a beautiful and heartbreaking story. The emotions leap off the pages of this book in a way that will leave you feeling heartbroken for all the pain and trauma endured but bursting with joy all at the same time.
Ashley is truly an incredibly gifted writer and brings her stories to life. She handles difficult subjects with the utmost care. She knows how to grab her readers' attention from the first page and doesn't let go until the very end.
The Darby siblings had a tumultuous childhood with their mother, and she inflicted so much pain on them that has spanned decades. Their father isn't innocent, but I truly feel he has so much regret for not protecting his children better.

PROFOUNDLY MOVING FAMILY DRAMA
Ashley Farley has written Marsh Point Book #3, Songbird’s Second Chance, which is a profoundly moving family drama. This book is a dynamic addition to the series. No one writes about dysfunctional family dynamics better than Ashley Farley! What I like most about this book is there are no dull moments from the first page to the last. Farley based her series on a dysfunctional family terrorized by their abusive alcoholic mother and their father, who would not stand up to her.
Farley introduces readers to the last sibling to grow up at Marsh Point, Savannah. Savannah had a beautiful voice, and everyone thought she would become a professional singer. Thirty years ago, her mother orchestrated for Savannah’s newborn daughter to be taken away right after birth. When Savannah woke up to discover her baby was gone, she ran away and has been gone for thirty long years! She moved as far from Marsh Point as she could go (Washington State), but recently, her circumstances have changed, and she thinks maybe it might be a good time to go home for a visit.
Harper Boone has never felt like she measured up to her mother’s expectations or that they had much in common. Her mother was a brilliant criminal defense attorney, and Harper was a gifted singer with an eye for decorating. She became a paralegal to satisfy her mother, but she never enjoyed it. Songbird's Second Chance is a fantastic addition to the Marsh Point series. It's full of family turmoil in a majorly dysfunctional family. The adult children try to mend fences between each other but the outcomes often backfire. Plus there is a new member of the family who shows up back at Marsh Point after a 30 year absence who reminds them of their childhood memories of growing up with an uncaring alcoholic mother and a father who wouldn't stand up to her.
This story is centered on two main characters
-Harper is 30 years old when her mother dies. When she is cleaning out her mother's files, she finds out that she was adopted. Suddenly it all becomes clear why she and her mother were so different. Her mother was a highly regarded lawyer who refused to let Harper follow through with her plans to pursue her singing career and insisted that she go to law school. The only clue to her real family is a paper with the address at Marsh point. She decides to quit her job and find out what she can about her birth family.
-Savannah is a member of the Darby family. She ran away from the family home 30 years earlier when her baby was taken away from her by her mother right after the birth. She goes as far away as she can and ends up creating a life for herself in the Pacific northwest. This is the third book in the Marsh Point series. I love that characters from the previous two books in this series also appear in this book, and although the new characters are the main focus of this fascinating, intriguing story, the sense of family and the support of friends is undeniable.
At the unexpected death of Harper’s mother, she finds distressing information in her mother’s desk that indicates she was adopted, most likely from a small town in South Carolina, she’s never heard of. Harper takes a leave of absence from her job as a paralegal, at the law firm where her mother had worked as a lawyer. Her mother had hoped Harper would follow in her footsteps and go to law school; however, Harper’s heart was with her music. She loved to sing, but instead of following her own dreams, she became a paralegal, hoping that would appease her mother.
Savannah’s bartending job in the Pacific Norwest has come to an end and the house she rents is being sold. After being gone from her home and family in South Carolina, she questions whether it’s time for her to go home and face her family. She left thirty years ago without saying goodbye, when, at seventeen years old, she gave birth to a baby girl that simply disappeared – taken from her the night of the birth.
Upon her arrival in South Carolina, Harper takes a job in a women’s boutique clothing store and begins to make a few friends. She is especially interested in the family whose name is written on the paper from her mother’s desk. Savannah arrives back in town, and she slowly focuses on reconnecting with her sisters and brother. As always in an Ashley Farley book, I pictured myself sitting down and watching it all play out on the TV screen in my new favorite show. This book series provides so much content for a tv series!
I’ve absolutely fallen in love with this Marsh Point series. Each story with the siblings in this dysfunctional family has been so wonderful. This is nothing new when it comes to Ashley Farley. I say it all the time, but her true gift of creating powerful characters is mesmerizing.
I loved getting to read this third (and final) book about the long lost sibling in the family. Savannah discovers a lot after running away from Marsh Point many years ago. Harper provides a new dynamic that’s perfect for the family. Will it unite them once and for all? I found myself wrapped up in their stories, loving every minute.
Each of the three books in this series can be read as stand alone novels. But, after reading one, you’ll want to read them all! I recommend catching up with 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝟏, 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 & 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝟐, 𝗘𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁!

I just love all the characters in this series. The 3rd book in the series, Songbird's Second chance is about Savannah Darby. Savannah gave birth to a daughter thirty years ago but before she could even see her, Savannah's mother gave her up for adaption. Savannah thought she was giving permission for the doctor to deliver her baby. As soon as Savannah realized what happen she ran away from home and her family to start a new life. Savannah thought she would never return to Marsh Point but when she loses her job and then her home she decided it was time to go home and see what happens.
This story was beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. I laughed and cried all through the book. This was such a well told story and so believable. Ashley Farley's writing just makes you feel like you are right there with them and feeling their love and heartbreak. This is such a rollercoaster of emotion book and so enjoyable that you are on the edge of your seat that you just can't put it down until the end. Thank you Ashley for the ARC. I just can't wait to see what comes next.

This series just keeps getting better and better! I've become more and more invested in all of the characters lives with each new story. And I want more!
I love this whole series and this installment takes us into the world of Savannah, who fled the family home thirty years ago, taking her secrets with her. Can she go home and make things right? And maybe, just maybe, she'll find what she's been searching for all those years.
Harper's life spins out of control when she finds unexplained items in her late mother's things. Searching for answers, she heads to South Carolina to see if she can connect with possible family members she didn't even know she had.
Be prepared to devote some time to this book when you sit down to read it because you are not going to want to stop once you start. This book is amazing, with its wonderful characters and all of the family drama and emotions going on. I highly recommend Songbird's Second Chance!

Oh my....Ashley Farley did it again. An exceptional story that pulled me in and I didn't want to put my tablet down! The third and final installment to the Marsh Point series and it didn't disappoint. I fell in love with the characters and were cheering them on throughout the book.
The reader is never disappointed with an Ashley Farley book...I highly recommend all of her books. But beware once you pick up one of the authors books you will be wanting them all and reading her whole list of books. I can't say this enough that she is an exceptional writer and one that I gravitate towards whenever she has a new book. I can always count on having all the feelings when reading Ashley's books. I had all the feelings reading "Songbird's Second Chance".

Mother an alcoholic, a Dad that wasn't there for the kids, older sister having to look out for siblings, and a mystery on what happened to the youngest sister. What is not to love. Grown adults trying to put the past to rest.

The reader is never disappointed with an Ashley Farley book...I highly recommend all of her books. But beware once you pick up one of the authors books you will be wanting them all and reading her whole list of books. I can't say this enough that she is an exceptional writer and one that I gravitate towards whenever she has a new book. I can always count on having all the feelings when reading Ashley's books. I had all the feelings reading "Songbird's Second Chance".

SONGBIRD’S SECOND CHANCE is the third and final book in the wonderful Marsh Point series by Ashley Farley. Like the first two books, this was impossible to put down. This installment tells all about Savannah Darby, one of the sisters in the highly dysfunctional Darby family. Savannah, her sisters and her brother grew up with an abusive alcoholic mother and an absent father which led to a multitude of issues for each of them. Thirty years ago, Savannah had a baby that was taken from her at birth and never seen again. The next day, she ran away to the Pacific Northwest where she lived ever since. There has been no contact, they didn’t even know where she was or if she was even alive. Savannah secretly kept tabs on them. Searching for answers from a traumatic childhood she makes her way home and is welcomed by most with open arms. She stands up to her Dad who scared her for life, can those wounds be healed? Family dynamics at their best in this thrilling, heartwarming book. I can’t wait to find out what’s in the will of Pritchards father.

I absolutely loved getting to read an advance copy of this book! I couldn’t put it down! This story line resonates so close to home for me, this series is a must read for sure. To get in depth with the Darby family and all the surprising turns this book took. I am so excited and anxious for the next book to come out!

I have read several other books by this author and have enjoyed them all. This story was beautifully told between the mother and daughter who were both living lies told by others. The resolution was expected but still entertaining. Definitely looking for.the next book by this author.

Feel good ending
I thoroughly enjoyed the end of this book. I won't put in a spoiler alert,however. The one thing I didn't like was the way the story jumped back & forth between characters. I found it highly confusing. I liked the characters and the plot. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a romance with sympathetic characters & obstacles to overcome.

Loved all the characters in this book. What a great story. Kept me reading to know what will happen to Savannah and Harper. Each one had their story to tell. Poor savannah i cant imagine having a baby then they are gone. Family can be so difficult and what savannah mom did wow. highly recommeded

This book was as good as the rest of Farley’s books. Characters are real life- marriage issues, money issues, adoption. Easily relatable. I love every one of these books and can’t wait to read the next one

Wow wow wow. This is the best book in the series. So many new characters are introduced in this book and lots of the one we already know and love. This story has so many little stories all in one. Can not wait for the next story I need to know more.

Loved this book. I have read all of her books and they all pull you into the story right away. In the beginning I thought that the story would go one way and it flipped. As always, Ashley Farley books kept my interest and didn't want it to end. Can't wait for the Sandy Island series to start!

This one wasn't my favorite of Ashley Farley's. I was glad to hang out with the characters again. There were parts of the story that were a little annoying. I don't want to put in any spoilers.
