I enjoyed this book and will have to seek out more in the "Ranger" series by Ralph Cotton. Basic Western dime store novel. Plenty of action with a lot of killing, maybe a little too much killing as it took away from the main story line(s). Still a good solid western that is a quick read with good guys, bad guys, saloons, dusty trails, hidden cabins, miners, poker games and everything else that you would expect in a Western novel.

A card game turns into three tragic deaths, and Texas Bob is hunted to account for one of them. The bodies stack up as a Texas Ranger hunts to save Texas Bob from all the hired guns out to kill him. George Guidell of course did a great job of bringing the various characters to life. It just wasn't my kind of book.
