Very well written, loved the patient experience stories and Anne Marie's practical tips to patients. The last chapter about dying I read with a huge lump in my throat. Loved the section on cancer survivorship and how that can be a difficult period for patients too.

As the subtitle suggests, this book focusses on the mental issues associated with a Cancer diagnosis rather than the physical symptoms and treatment options. And it does a wonderful job explaining things, often with the aid of the experiences of cancer patients.
My only ‘complaint’ is that there is nothing in the book for people who, like me, have been diagnosed with incurable cancer and are on a journey towards living with cancer. Still, I know that what I’ve read will help me face whatever the future may throw my way and that I will return to (parts of) this book often.
