From the first page of Fred Bucher’s riveting second novel Burning Ambitions I was completely hooked. This book has it all – intrigue, murder, sports and politics.
Imagine a world where a woman is second in line for NFL Commissioner. Picture a Saudi company trying to buy an NFL franchise. Add the political intrigue of building a new football stadium in Buffalo. Wrap it up with murder, sex and backstabbing and you have the formula for a great page-turning thriller.
Bucher keeps you on the edge of your seat and my favorite part was that he nailed the ending. Too often I feel thrillers disappoint the reader in the last 5 pages and this is far from that. I would honestly put this book right up there with an early John Grisham or David Baldacci. A fun read that I highly recommend.

Might have been better than his first one! Amazing thriller.
