Lori L. Barr, M. D., is an internationally recognized radiologist, author and expert in diagnostic medical imaging, stress and vibrant living. Dr. Barr helps over 18,127 patients and their doctors each year in Austin, Texas and served for five years as the medical director of the Dell Children’s Imaging Center. She was named a Radiology Society of North America Scholar for her ultrasound research in the developing brain. Both the American College of Radiology and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine named her as a fellow for teaching, research, clinical care and community advocacy. She has authored over 35 scientific papers and 11 book chapters. As a certified communications and coaching expert, she develops effectiveness and leadership strategies with her proteges. When not teaching marine scientists how to follow a walrus pregnancy with ultrasound, Lori can be found with a mask, fins, and snorkel, ready for adventure.

Lori is a brilliant motivator who genuinely cares about the well-being of others. In Think & Grow Well, she clearly defines possibilities to ensure present and future health. Her work is well-written and powerful. Well worth the time.
