Opposites really do attract but so do mayhem, murder and sex. After Jamal Shield, aka Preacher (Leo Sullivan), a notorious young B-More gangster, is sentenced to life in prison for multiple crimes, including an armored Brinks truck heist for a cool 5.2 million, he is surprised when he is released from prison. All he wants to do is be with his family and start a new life but there is one problem...he is charged with protecting a beautiful whore. Lourdes Beaumont (T. Styles), a prostitute from Houston, Texas, always dreamed of having a legit life. She tried to pursue that dream by building her cosmetics business but she found that the men who could help her want her for one thing, her body. When she witnesses the murder of a teenager at a high school, by the daughter of a notorious drug dealer, she is taken to Baltimore where Jamal is charged with keeping her alive. When you are as emotional and high-strung as she is, this act is easier said than done. Jamal resents having to protect Lourdes, especially when the demons from his past and the goons from hers attempt to hunt them both down. Who would have thought that through the bloodshed and bullets that they could find true love? But it means nothing if they do not survive.

I loved it!! Such a page turner. I loved the personalities of both characters, although there were some parts that was extremely unrealistic.. Like so many times they escaped the police, I mean really? Other than that. Great book, I would definitely recommend .
You could tell that 2 people wrote this book, it kept confusing me when I would read the same thing over once in Lourdes's words and then in Preacher's words. After several chapters I caught on to what was happening, I am use to when 2 authors write a book, it's like all one book, by the end of the book I understood how Leo and T wanted you to get to know the 2 main characters. Although the back cover stated $5.2 million, Preacher only retrieved $1.2 million from the vent??
I would recommend this to read, it is a good story about change. How people can do bad things and want to change but it is not always easy getting to the change, the road is often a bit rough and that is the very road Lourdes and Preacher had to travel before all was said and done.
(Paperback edition) This was a thrilling ride from Texas to Baltimore! If there were ever 2 characters that were meant to meet one another, Lourdes & Preacher were the ones. There was never a dull moment as I could not only envision the scenes unfolding, but at times felt I was there! The combination of their slick tactics, street knowledge & pure luck kept the pages turning. Great read by 2 veteran authors that I highly recommend!
Another Banger!!!!! She can tell a story. I love this read it was a Crazy Kind Of Love, the drama that they went thru together I enjoyed reading, I laugh and cried a little but all in out this was book was great.
Excellent read...Loved the flow of the story, the drama and excitement. If I can out this into words I would say this story was simple but yet exciting, simple but had a nice flow, simple had its share of drama and finally simple but yet a crazy kind of love. LOL I enjoyed this story from beginning to end. Two people that met under insinuating circumstances falls in love through all the good and bad. This is a must read, great page turner. Way to go Author Styles and Sullivan.
Lourdes is a prostitute that has witnessed a murder and. Is on the run until she is called upon to testify. Preacher is an ex-convict trying to tur his life around, but the past keeps calling him back. What happens when the two cross paths? You'll have to read it to find out!
The collaboration between these two authors is incredible! I fell in love with Preacher from day 1, and held a soft spot for Lourdes. A definite page turner that I would recommend.

Told from 2 different authors, Crazy Kind of Love tells a tale of how two people can find love in the craziest of moments. What I love about this story is how in the midst of the drama, Lourdes and Preacher build a beautifully different relationship. Fast-paced and drama filled, this book packs it all!
This was a totally different kind of read. I never thought these two amazing authors would pen together such a outstanding book. This book so much of a different read that it would blow your damn mind. This crazy kind of love was something that alot of people have but don't realize it. Now that these two amazing authors have written this people we see that it's possible to have this type of love.
