For the last two decades, gaming has outperformed nearly every other industry. Gaming companies produce three times more revenue than Hollywood. A single product boasts $20 billion in revenue. Products crafted by a few routinely reach more than a billion consumers, and their economies outperform most governments.
Serial entrepreneur Ludovic Bodin knows the reason for such success. Atomic Scaling holds the key.
Although first developed within the gaming industry, the principles of Atomic Scaling can be applied to any organization. Whether you are involved in startups or Fortune 500 companies, discover how you can exponentially increase your customer base, revenue, and profit while lowering overhead. Quit playing games with your bottom line. Instead, explore bold new ways to fulfill your mission and increase your impact.
This book starts out with a rather striking premise with its promise of sharing the learnings of various gaming companies to established a greater theory that can apply to other business industries. But instead, it ends up really being just about the gaming industry and maybe some of these ideas can apply specific businesses centered around products but maybe not so much service-based companies.
Things get a little repetitive the further you get into the book - at least the first few chapters had some substance of relative interest and excitement.
Coming from the gaming industry with 15 years of experience, the book structure and insights per chapter (3Rs, prediction, build a sales funnel, build for who, close loop of engagement) were relevant as I am applying games expertise to other fields. I recommend the book if you want to apply game systems to other business fields: small teams achieving extraordinary outcomes, and data as part of your core systems.
The book is good for people who have hired at least a few people and are looking to build team.
## Find your Magical-Pair 1+1 should be 10 They constantly up each other Who might be our magical-pairs? Find a magical-pair. Then add more people to the team propogating the pairs culture
## Chapter End Questions The book has questions at the end of each chapter. Go through those questions slowly each week.
If you want to be efficient with using your resources and create a lot of value with limited people, this is the book for you. Especially if you are a bootstrapped company
I wish I didn’t participate in any accelerator/ incubator nor read any business books, but just read this. Very informing, very actionable, very transformative.
