The stories in this series vary with narrative in first person or third person, and they have increased character dialogue, which allows students to develop character studies. This is an unusual story children will love to read. Camilla wonders what her dog, Homer, thinks about and what he would say if he could talk. A neighbour gives her the knowledge to teach Homer how to talk, and soon problems arise. He seems to have too much to say, so Camilla is not sure a talking dog is such a great idea after all. Cute story with nice illustrations.
