I REALLY LOVED THIS BOOK! You will be amazed to see what happens! Ohhhh Tanner I love you! Meg she is awesome. It takes great courage and strong will to accomplish what Megan has. Just when you think oh I know how this is gonna go, BAM PLOT TWIST! Thank you so so much Missy Leigh for the great erotic vacation. I look forward to reading so much more from you. This is a stand alone so no stress on cliff hangers. Oh on a side note, I hated Megan's mother, well at least up until...... you have to read it and you will see.

Wow. Just Wow. I just finished reading The Net and OMG. I thought I knew what a book hangover was but I was wrong. I guess it's kind of like an orgasm..... you only think you know what it is until one rips every fiber of your being apart and pieces you back together. I really hope that Missy write a lot more for us because that was a rollercoaster I fell in love with!

I have to admit that I have been waiting on this book for a couple of months. The author had posted something on her Facebook wall about her work in progress about an internet relationship and I was immediately intrigued, so when The Net was released, I jumped right on it. I was not disappointed in the least!
Megan is recently divorced and is on the verge of losing everything. Her fairytale life, which of course was just an illusion for the outside world, was lost when she left her abusive husband. Now, a year later with no money and no prospects of things getting better, she considers taking a friend’s advice and getting a job as an online adult entertainer. Essentially she would be a cam-girl, receiving money for acting out men’s fantasies and requests from the privacy of her own home. While this isn’t exactly the line of work she was looking for, the promise of fast, easy cash is tempting and she decides to give it a try. In order to avoid being found out though, she takes on the online persona of “Dixie” and wears a wig and contacts so she looks nothing like herself.
Tanner is a business owner that is tall, dark, handsome, and loaded. He is attracted to Megan but he fears that she would not be interested in him if she knew what he actually did for a living, outside owning a nightclub. He is the co-creator and owner of The Net, an online adult entertainment site…the one that Megan herself has applied to work at. Megan is also attracted to Tanner, however just coming off of the divorce and getting mixed up in adult entertainment, she doesn’t want to get involved with him for fear of rejection.
What ensues is the start of a relationship and the beginning of Megan getting her life back, but it really isn’t as simple as that. Both Megan and Tanner have issues with their family and there are some huge twists that take place during the course of the story, especially with Megan’s best friend Charity, whom also works for The Net. Be prepared for a hot, wild, emotional ride!
The Net was a five star read from start to finish. The characters were likeable and believable and the storyline was engaging from the get go. Once I started, I didn’t want to put it down and I finished it in one sitting. I’m definitely looking forward to more from this author!

It's taken me all day to try and put this review into words and I'm still struggling! I absolutely LOVED this book and trying to write without adding spoilers is going to be tough! It was well written and kept you turning to page wanting to know what would happen. If it hadn't been for my family life I could have easily read it all in one sitting!
Megan was a fantastic character and an amazingly strong woman! Tanner is just .......amazing! The twists keep you hooked to this book as well as it being exceptionally HOT! (Ps don't read in public for that reason).
I would love to see Megan's story expanded in a sequel to find out what her life is like after all of the revelations in the story!

I’ll be honest, it took me a while to get into this book. It took me a while to get interested in Megan and want to go along for the ride with her. It took me a while to get a good handle on who she was and how the other characters fit into her world. And mostly, it took me a while to care.
But then about a third of the way into the book, something happened. Everything started gelling. As Megan started to figure out where she was going and what she wanted her life to be, she put her hooks in me and drug me along with her. We started getting to know Tanner a bit more; getting introduced to the enigma of his character. The combination of the two is pretty compelling I must say. She is sweet, alluring and a firecracker waiting to be lit. He is charismatic, utterly comfortable in his own skin and comes to Megan with a match in hand, ready to set her off. There are a few other really interesting characters in the book as well – I wish I got to know more of their story.
Missy Leigh finds her voice about the same time as I found Megan. Her writing style smoothed out, her voice got stronger and she found a great rhythm that perfectly delivers the story she’s telling.
I would be remiss to not talk about how steamy this book is. That is one element that Missy Leigh absolutely nails. She constructs sex scenes that are not only hot and fun to read but that truly get you where it counts and had me clenching throughout. She never breeches that gratuitous line where there are sex scenes simply for the sake of being able to include them. Every single scene has a purpose – to open Megan up, to illustrate her growth, to bond Megan and Tanner. And each of those scenes is wonderfully crafted.
Despite being a little uneven, I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend you pick it up – get ready to go along for the ride and watch a young woman find herself, find her voice and find her perfect lover.

Megan had her whole life planned for her even down to who she was going to be married to. However, real life doesn't always happen the way we think. When she was ready to lose everything, but an opportunity showed itself that would take her outside of her comfort zone and would affect the rest of her life she decided to take a jump of faith. Will she forgive those that pushed her into a marriage that shouldn't have been and destroyed her? They always say that things will get worse before it gets better and in this story it definitely did for Megan to open her eyes up and see what was in front of her the whole time. That you will have to find out for yourself! Megan does show us that it does take a strong heart and women to keep on moving through life and this was why I think I loved this character the most because I can see myself needing to do what has to be done if it ever comes to a situation like she was placed in. When I was introduced to Tanner in this novel, I thought of a sweet, charming, and the one that has always been in the shadow waiting for the right moment to come out! However, it may or may not have been to late! I do have to say if your not into a lot sexual content, you may not want to get this but you will be missing an amazing book, I loved this book! A couple of these characters I did not care for, not because of the way they were written but because of how they are and what they have done, it does still happen and sad to say they probably thought it was for the best. I loved this book from the cover and the colors that are entwined within each other to the plot and the characters. As the author told me and I have to say she is definitely correct, it is a story of rejection, betrayal, acceptance, and self discovery! I can't wait for the next book to come out by this author.
