i know this is sooooo dorky, but i use to go read this all the time in the evergreen state library, during my Kathy Acker phase. ovbiously haven't read the whole thing, but the parts about camp and how it started in the queer community, and how that turned into pop ( was trying to write an essay on the strategies of retro-ism in olympia/counter-culture at the time, not for school just on my own)....and also the section on the concept of "no self" in post-modernism and links to buddhist/zen philosophy were so enlightening to me...pulled some things together for me.
