Walter Times Two is a time travel romance and a comedy of errors.

When a stranger shows up on her doorstep and proposes, BYU student Aurelia freaks out and sends him away. To her dismay, he shows up again, pretending he doesn't know her but trying to ask her on a date, only to come back later with a crazy story that he's traveled back in time, messed up the timing, and needs her to agree to date his other self.

No way will she believe his ridiculous story.

Yet it doesn't take long for her to realize there are two identical guys named Walter running around. She may even fall for one of him. But both? That remains to be seen.

A fun clean read! I usually don't care for time travel, but I was thoroughly entertained by this story- couldn't put it down. It also reminded me of fond memories of my time in college at BYU.

Due to a mishap in time travel, Aurelia is put in the awkward position of dating a future and current version of Walter. After receiving a shock proposal from Walter on her doorstep – a young man she crossed paths with at the science fair – she’s shocked when he insists that they have a relationship, because she has no memory of him. What follows in the novel is a curious blend of fun and intrigue, making this a light, enjoyable read.

Although this book has a sci-fi theme running throughout, it’s also a clean, fun romance. Prayer is very much part of the characters’ lives, and this definitely comes across throughout the novel. It is quite a faith-based book, so I’m not sure if it would necessarily appeal to all romance readers across the spectrum, but it is fresh and sweet for those who like clean reads with Christian undertones.

College students are the main characters in this book, with Walter having to persuade the disbelieving Aurelia that he has time travelled and, as a result, there are two versions of him. There is suspense, romance, and a decent smattering of science added in for good measure. The pacing is steady, with the chemistry between Walter and Aurelia sustained throughout. The dialogue is sharp, and the relationships between characters are fully developed. I found a lot of the exchanges (and situations) between Walter and Aurelia very amusing and was laughing out loud at times.

I did enjoy the time travel element in this book, which was handled skilfully by the author, and didn’t detract from the main romance. The interplay between science and faith will, I think, appeal to Christian readers looking for a quirky, fun read with Hallmark-style characters.

Walter Times Two is a sweet, touching book that tugs at the heartstrings. This light-hearted read will appeal to readers who are seeking a fun, clean romance, with quirky characters.

Walter Times Two is a very interesting story with romance and suspense. Can Walter convince Aurelia that he has time-traveled and there are two of him now? Or does he have a twin that he doesn't know about? Or maybe he's just off his rockers... How will Walter from the future win Aurelia's heart AGAIN, after messing things up between them from before they had ever met? This was a very enjoyable read, and I love the characters. Highly recommend it!

Seriously so cute! I honestly could not get enough of this. I really loved the personalities of all the characters. They were hilarious. I've never seen a main character who loves to eat vegetables so much. I also happen to know the author in real life

This was a silly concept that could have been fun, but just fell flat. I didn’t really connect with the main characters. It just seemed kind of surface level character development and emotions. All in all a clean book, but kind of boring.

If you like Hallmark movies and "Proper Romance" novels from Deseret Book, then you'll enjoy this charming romance. It was a fun, quick read with excellent pacing throughout.

Due to a time traveling accident, Aurelia ends up dating a current and future version of Walter at the same time. The science fiction aspect of the book (time travel) is mostly just a plot device for the romance, and is well done in that respect - everything you could wish for in terms of humor and confusion. Very much a rom-com with a side of sci-fi not serious sci-fi, but the science is handled well enough to be believable within the plot. In fact, one of my favorite scenes is a discussion of whether time travel could be compatible with God.

My other favorite part was Aurelia's relationship with her roommate Jackie.

The book is set at BYU, with college students as the main characters. It is written mostly for an LDS audience (it could easily be redone towards a mainstream audience, but there is enough specifically LDS setting, and their faith is a big enough part of the main characters, that it will appeal mostly to an audience within that setting.)

It's a wholesome, clean, fun romance between Good Girl and Nice Guy.
