Inspiration isn’t always about looking forward. Sometimes you need to look back.
Look back on your own past.
Look back on other people’s past.

Thank you to my dear professor in college, Linda Hager Pack, for writing & sharing this brilliant book that both children and adults can bond over. I pulled it off of my shelf to reread today and I’m glad I did.

This book was not one of my favorites. The pictures and idea behind the book are nice but the content is definitely lacking. It starts with "A is for Appalachia" and continues with the ABC theme ("B is for Baskets") while providing a description of each term along the way. The problem I had with this book is that it would not be a very good read aloud because there is too much text but there is not enough information to be useful for any sort of research for children. I gave the book 3 stars only because of the beautiful illustrations!
