From underground Tony Watt Inc. ( TWI ) Studios, comes :"Code King" based on the unpublished screenplay, turned 'mini-graphic novel' by cult actor/ Tony 'Tex' Watt. Code King tells the strange tale of what became of a legendary [supposedly deceased ] rock star; nicknamed "King". Who mysteriously returns as a fighting super-patriot ; serving undercover [after faking his death, with the U.S. Government] as a massive elderly, steroid popping paramilitary assassin, agent & soldier for hire our colorful anti-hero is out to wage war against those who have done wrong against himself & America! "The Capture" adventure story, from this first book, is the first time we see our hero 'King' fighting against the psychopathic lord of a South American drug cartel. Future stories will have a more adult theme, graphics & stories, as like other North American comics [ 'graphic novels' to the hipsters] have FINALLY grown up!

I knew this would be sub-publisher-trust grade material that would be put to page haphazardly but, besides the fact that I try to give this sort of creator a fair chance (when base-price), I thought that there would either be something thought-provoking within the amateur material or that it would be at least bad in a funny way. I had most hoped for a interesting insight of our military since the back says that he's "a Toronto-based Canadian" which made me curious as to why he was in the States military and what kind of experience that he would have being a relative outsider in such our xenophobic military. If not, maybe interesting obnoxiousness? Nope:
This was a 100% waste of my time because the story had me rolling¬my¬eyes shamefully at how bad it was in every way and the art is ruined completely by what is definitively the worst colouring attempt that I've yet encountered. It looks like a child got ahold my copy and got maybe ⅔ finished using whatever they could get their hands on to fill things in before it made it to my house. But no, it's supposed to look like that!
I admit that he is a good artist within the panels that he cared to refine to a professional level- but it's in that grossly muscular "Rob Liefeld Image superhero" style that I hate.
