I am Buddhist is a book that I think would be interesting for kids to read, because they would be learning about a religion that one of their peers could be. Children can have a conversation about the book and can get to know more about people around the world. The illustrations are pictures taken of real-life people, this can help the children have a better visual and understanding of the religion. The book is an informative book, so there is no problem and solution. The people in then book are from all different ethnicities, this shows that you cannot determine someone’s religion based on their race. There is no information to be found on the authors religion, but there are no negative stereotypes. The book uses terms that are defined and illustrated to help the children understand.
