Playing with Soul Ties

Rate this book
Play around with soul ties and you will get a baby, or however the saying goes.

Marli Martin is the queen of playing games. Seeing her twin sister get dragged through the mud by love made her promise to never partake. She uses men for their body parts and their money. It had been easy. She never fell in love because she never made her heart available. That was until she met her sister’s new brother-in-law, Dru, and their souls tied. One night turned into many, and Marli soon found herself playing stupid games and winning stupid prizes.

Rich and successful record label CEO, Dru Willis, prides himself on being a leader. He sets out to accomplish something, and he does just that. Dru has lived his entire life getting what he wants when he wants, so when the one thing he can’t have turns out to be the only thing he ever wanted, he doesn’t know how to handle it. He finds himself cutting all ties with the only woman who ever had his heart, Marli Martin.

Their siblings force them into each other’s space, and there is nothing they can do to stop the strings that bind them from connecting. Dru soon realizes that Marli is the woman he wants, but is he willing to play her silly games? Playing with soul ties can be dangerous, but with every risk, there is a reward. Will Dru and Marli be able to ignite their bond, free of games, or will they discover that if you play around with soul ties, you might get burned?

Souls tied in a knot!

Just when I thought Blue was my favorite character from Author Blossom's catalog here comes his ghetto twin Dru. Blue is still in the top two but Dru is running neck and neck with him. When I say that Dru and Marli's souls were tied in a knot I mean that. Their souls were bound together as one. Dru was carrying Marli's bridal style because she became his "baby mama" now that speaks volumes. He was also bold enough to take Marli from Max's house to his house. Dru was most definitely Bae he skipped the book Bae title. He truly loved Marli but the stunt that Janell pulled was heartbreaking. Janell needed someone with an M.D. behind their name in her life. However, it was so refreshing to read Dru and Marli get their happily ever after. The love he had and was willing to share with Marli she deserved every grain of it. She needed to be genuinely loved by a man that she knew deep in her heart she loved as well.

Ms. Blossom, job well done you executed Dru and Marli's story well. I am glad they got to tell it. The plots were twisted like a pretzel but I am glad at the outcome. I was lowkey rooting for it. It was just sad that four years had passed before the truth came out. Ladies and gents this is a new author in the literary world, give her a try. You will love this series on Soul Ties because Dru and Blue were about that life when it came to their women.

What a ride

This darn couple was something else. They were all over the place but I loved it.
I could have done with a little more retribution for Ms Secretary, but hopefully her karma comes soon.
I enjoyed this story.

Dru Is The One For Me!

The amount of BDE Dru has, should be illegal. Marli was doing too much in playing! (She was really pissing me off, just like her sister Kaylee lmfao)! I’m happy Dru napped her ass, cuhhh shawty was really playing games! Also, I think I prefer Dru over Blue! I said what I said! 😘

Playing with soul ties

This was a good book that I had been wanting to read since Dru and Marli were introduced in the book with their siblings. Marli made my head hurt most of the book with all the games she was playing and moving like she was the only person who could possibly be hurt by Dru and not thinking about how her actions would hurt Dru. Dru was very patient with her but he was tired of playing her games and it was definitely understandable. I’m glad they finally got it together, even though Dru had to boss up on Marli to get her to finally accept her feelings for him. These two definitely had a toxic relationship but I feel some of it could have been avoided if they stopped playing games and Marli admitted and accepted her feelings. The situation with Janel was a shock and I was not prepared for that plot twist but her actions truly changed the trajectory of their lives and some events more than likely wouldn’t have happened had she not been so scandalous. This was worth the read if you don’t mind a bit of toxicity with your love story.

I fell in love with Marli and Dru in book 1 Between a Soul tie that focused on Kay and Blue. I wanted A.Blossum to bring the chaos with this story and she did not disappoint. I love the fact that we got to see Marli grow into motherhood with the boys. I felt so bad when Dru found out he was not the father of the twins. I love that we got to see Dru grow up and move on from being the play boy he was in the first book. Max and Janel were foul for the things they did in the book. Once everything was out in the open I was so glad that Janel and Max got what they deserve at the end. Marli and Dru was playing major games throughout this book but I am going to stick beside them because they are my babies. I love that we got an update on Blue and Kay because I love them so much. I will be reading more book from A. Blossum because she did her thing with this one. I advise people to read the first book with Blue and Kay to get some background on Dru and Marli. The way Dru love them boys made smile because regardless he stepped in for them.

This is my type of carrying on!!!
A. Blossom really did deliver on the drama... its giving love and hip hop atlanta in book form.

I was so hyped on Dru and Marli's story, especially given their antics in Between a soul tie. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd find myself hooked by the whose the daddy plotline but here I am. Part of you wants to judge our FMC but also you give her grace once you see how becoming a mother settles her. Seeing the growth of a character in real time on page is beautiful.

However don't get it twisted, she doesn't take herself too serious. Especially when she is dealing with the most unserious, serious man. (every time I think about the engraving that man placed on that key)

Soul Ties!!

A. Blossom has done it again with her Soul Ties series. Marli and Dru both got on my nerves with the back and forth but I totally understand Dru’s position. When feelings aren’t reciprocated it does affect you in a major way. Janel I truly hate her for real she can’t be redeemed in my eyes because that one decision affected sooo many ppl but she didn’t care. Max it was a shame that he treated Marli the way that he did but it was so unfortunate what happened to him. He don’t deserve that or maybe he did. Overall I LOVED this story sooo much and look forward to any future projects from A. Blossom.

A quick but constant roller coaster

This book was SO GOOD! I think I enjoyed it more than Kay and Blue’s story which is crazy bc I loved there’s. Marli and Dru fought their love until they could no longer run from it. Their story will have you rooting for them from page 1. Each twist and turn had my mouth dropped and stuck. If you’re thinking about reading it, let this be your sign, READ IT .

I love Dru real bad!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️.5
I thought the first book was good but this one takes the cake! I loved every minute of it because it was so many twisted and turns. Dru eludes BDE and is so assertive but always swoony! Marli played so many games but knew in her heart Dru was it for her! The character development was written so well.

Even though Nate character was short lived I liked that he was from my city Detroit!

MUST READ! 💖

The Ties That Bind

Dru and Marli’s journey to love was complicated. They started off with a situationship and then Marlin got pregnant. Her conundrum was that she was dealing with two men and was not sure who fathered her baby. She had strong feelings for Dru but she was afraid to trust him with her heart. She and Dru had issues that they needed to address. Life dealt Marli a bad hand and she ended up with the deadbeat baby daddy. Dru was devastated and he and Marli went their separate ways for years until Dru realized how entangled their souls were. He made his mind up that he was getting his woman and her kids. He accepted that he played an intricate part in how he and Marli ended up. Despite Dru’s revelation, things were still not smooth sailing. He and Marli had so many folks conspiring against them. They had to realize that in order to win at love they had to stand together. They would have to be strong to overcome that plot twist that came their way. When I say I wasn’t ready!!!! Whew Chile…I wasn’t ready!!

Anyway, this book had a lot of drama. I had to step back and not judge Dru and Marli harshly for the decisions they made. I had to accept that they were human and suffered from their mistakes, yet they grew into stronger and better people. Their growth made their soul ties stronger.

Dru and Marli, When Love Outweighs the Fear

This book was so good and was so happy that Dru and Marli was able to find their way back to each other!!!..
Dru’s mother was a prime example of why you have to watch what you say about a person, because when you forgive the person that hurt you, they don’t!!!…
It seems that after the paternity was revealed, she came around!!!…
Max irked my nerves, but my heart ached for him after he found out that Janel played with the paternity test of the twins!!!…
Janel was very selfish to do what she did and she deserved to be alone, so that she could work on her mental!!!…Yes, she was in a long situationship with Dru, but she also should have kept stepping when he told her he didn’t want a long term relationship!!!…
Marli carried some serious baggage and fear and I u definitely understood it, but I was glad she opened
Ed her hurt and mind up to be loved!!!…

Dru and Marli!!!

I was wondering what would go on with Marli and Dru since Book 1 in the series. Marli got on every last one of my nerves with the back and forth she did about her feelings for Dru. Dru always knew who he wanted but with Marli playing games with his feelings, he reverted back to what he knew. The evil and dirty things that Janel pulled just because Dru didn't love her were totally foul. She certainly deserved to get somebody's hands. Max was so immature and detestable in his behavior it wasn't funny. I just loved Dru and all of his alphaness. Once he laid down the law to Marli, she had no choice but to go along with whatever he said. This story took us on so many ups and down but I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. All I have to say is that the truth won in the end and I was so happy. Another great job, Ms. A. Blossom!!!

Dru & Marli

When I tell you, they worked my nerves… They were both so immature at too big of an age. I still loved them though. That soul tie was something else.

Marli was afraid of getting hurt/played by a man and Dru was afraid of being like his father who cheated on his mother. Nothing could keep them from being together.

***Spoiler… kinda***

That Janel was too much. Her obsession with Dru but ultimately with Marli was psychotic. I need her back story, lol! She literally changed everyone’s life and put people in danger. She didn’t deserve grace, she was deranged. Max didn’t either. He was reckless and irresponsible, but he was also caught up in Janel’s scheme.

Dru is not having none of that sh*t from Kay. He said your mine and that’s that.

Playas Clashing

It was to funny how these two started off as sneaky links, but Dru wanted more. Marco wanted Dru, but didn't think she how to love, which was crazy to me, she was surrounded by love her entire life.

So much drama was in the entire story and I welcomed it.

I couldn't be 4 years had passed without Dru and Marco not speaking. But once the lines of communication opened back up, all he'll broke loose. Lies and betrayal was shown.

Great written story and an amazing ending.

Playing with Soul Ties

Dru & Marli! In the beginning I cried. I had a feeling the twins would not be his just for dramatic purposes but when the scene came where he saw Tres differently I knew it was a mistake! Janel should have been “dealt with.” I figured she would do a different kind of picking but this was absurd. Max is a 🐱 if you catch the drift. You had us on a rollercoaster! I loved the ride!

.

I had already guessed at the beginning of the story that Janel had fucked with that test. That bitch was loco. For all Marli talked about she was grown she was moving like a shady bitch in the streets all this running and playing games I wasn't for the bs at all. That's how her ass got caught up to begin with fucking two men at the same time. She just was sloppy. I couldn't stand her childish ass.
