The shtick (to the other side of what?) gets old pretty fast and it just doesn't always work very well, doesn't always even make sense. Creates some awkward constructions.
It's disappointing because the idea of the dads guiding their babies is really cute, but the execution isn't really there.
I think it's intended more to be gifted to dads-to-be rather than read, as is often the case when a book has certain keywords on the cover: dad, mom, grandmother/father, auntie, etc.
Edit: How could I forget how weird it was at the very end when they featured a human child taking “its” first steps. Not his, hers or their. Interestingly, the pronoun used for the seahorse baby was “you.” A very strange book.

Ce e mai frumos decât un puiuț cu părinții lui, să îi vezi cu descoperă lucruri noi împreună și cum progresul are loc pe ambele părți, de una de noi abilități și de alta de răbdare, totul datorită iubirei necondiționate ❤️ Cărțile "Primii pași alături de tata" și "Primii pași alături de mama" de Esther van den Berg îi invită pe cei mai mici cititori curioși să pășească alături de animalele din savană, de la fermă sau din mare și să le observe nu doar bucuria de a fi împreună, ci și distracția și uimirea din ochi atunci când pornesc în aventuri mari și mici 🐾
Lecturile sunt numai bune pentru copiii de 0-3 ani, dar merg excelent și pentru copiii de 3-5 ani, mai ales dacă prin preajma lor se găsesc și frați sau surori mai mici 📚 Le găsiți la Editura Univers Enciclopedic 🤗

A very nice book for children ... bright colors of the illustrations really capturing the attention of my kid while I was reading it.
Nicely put together with examples from the animal world ... and with a nice ending with the human connection of daddy/child ... altogether I do recommend even though is intended for very small children. ( age of 2 maximum I would say).
