This is a novella which in a nutshell tells the story of a couple named Babydoll and Honeybear and their overnight stay in a hotel, except it's so much more than that. This story is extremely raunchy, which is something I usually have no particular interest in and very rarely enjoy and I rated this a four star so I firmly believe anybody who is into erotica and enjoys Robertson's pulpy gore and twisted humour will absolutely find this to be a five star read. One thing I also wanted to highlight was the hotel itself, it's almost a character in its own right. It's this high tech, hentai themed house of debauchery that the author weaves into the story subtly but very effectively. This was very fun and f*****d up.
The author as he has done so many times before provides a playlist to listen to whilst reading which I always enjoy. I find they match the books perfectly, really add to the whole experience and are always a really welcomed addition.

Lastly, I wanted to highlight one of Christopher Robertson's reasons for writing this which he reveals in the credits of the book and which I found hilarious...
...I wrote this story because somebody called my writing wholesome. Imagine an angry raccoon screaming at his laptop "I'll show how f*****g wholesome I am!"

This book is raunchy, kinky, nasty, fucked up, and hot as hell! Definitely heed the warning at the beginning of the book because there's some stuff in here that surprised me not only with how shocking it was but also how much I liked it.

First time buying physical erotica like this but I'm firmly on the Christopher Robertson hype train at this point so I picked it up and do not regret it one bit! I could tell from scenes in TCCM that he had potential to write good smut and he delivers here.

Babydoll (the character) is such a tease and she knows the effect she has and owns it. She's confident, sexy and oh so lovingly cruel when it comes to messing with Honeybear.

Honeybear is a loveable goofball who lets his dick do most of the thinking even in the most absolutely inappropriate situations. But I can't really blame him when he's got Babydoll around him a lot of the time.

The inclusion of showing the text messages was very hot! The aspects of their relationship are shown quite well and you really get the feeling that its a mutual situation with love at the core of all the dirty dirty things they get up to.

I enjoyed this book and its a pretty quick read which made me wish it was longer! Hope we'll get to see more of these two again someday!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Babydoll by Christopher and boy, did it not disappoint!
All his books i’ve read so far are a work of art, but this one definitely rivals Cotton Candy Massacre as my favorite.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who adores a gore love story! It’s messed up in all the right ways. And afterwards it really made me question my sanity hihi.

This story follows Babydoll and Honeybear who like to spice things up in the bedroom and have a rather unique taste.

I guess without spoiling to much, i can say that this story made me gasp, giggle and laugh. Everyone has a soul mate, Babydoll and Honeybear are made for each other.

So I normally don’t reach for raunchy material, but I really enjoy Christopher Robertson’s other stories, so I gave it a spin. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever actually said ‘wtf’ so many times while reading a novella!

This was sexy, raunchy, EXTREMELY effed up, but also really funny. Also, the soundtrack the author created for the book was perfectly in sync with the dynamic of the story!

It’s about time for me to become a grownup. So that means I might have to read some stories that deal with *whispers* sex. So when I saw Christopher Robertson’s Babydoll being toted as a “horrorsmut masterpiece”… I knew this was fate. So I took the plunge and enjoyed the raunchy, sloppy, squishy, bloody ride!

Quick premise: Babydoll has a hot date with an Olympic athlete in a hentai-themed love hotel. The clincher? Her boyfriend is well aware, and …*wait for it* …he’s INTO it. Don’t worry Honeybear (her bf), she’s going to try and record all the festivities so you don’t miss ANY of the action. What’s the worst that could happen? Turns out, a whole lot. Including a body or two, maybe even 3? Pulse not a requirement.

The adventure, the mishaps, the death, and the oddly wholesome moments keep the story chugging along. Tho, worry not smutophiles, you’ll still need a cleanup on aisle 6. Just when you think sex would be the LAST thing on anyone’s mind…they make time. So if you want to change things up, and want a little spice with your splatter I highly recommend this. I usually like to keep my bodily fluids separate, when it comes to reading or…just about everything else…but Babydoll showed me you can have both. 🤷🏽‍♂️

What did I just read? This was messed up beyond belief, but so much fun to read.

I was warned before reading that Babydoll was a perverted, messed up, gross-out horror comedy - and boy did it deliver on all those. This is a couple that like taking things to extremes, and it made me giggle away at multiple points. I also loved the ending, great solution.

Weirdly it wasn't the horror kink that I wasn't so keen on, it was Honeybear's constant need for sex - even at the worst times possible. I just didn't understand as there were clearly more pressing issues.

Overall, I love the genre title horrorsmut - it's a perfect description for this, and I did find it amusing, but I think I'll stick to the clowns (and there's a sentence I never thought I'd say).

If you’re a fan of Christopher Robertson’s Terrorscope canon of cinematic pulp, you know this guy has a rebellious, punk rock streak.
Our guy produced Babydoll to quash the rumors that he is in fact a “wholesome” horror writer. With almost a tongue-in-cheek premise to create on over the top smut tale of two lovers, I can say, he more than quashed those said rumors. He completely pulverized them to dust. Not that I’ve watched a lot of porn, but at times, I don’t think I’ve even seen on film any of things he brought to life (or death) in this twisted novella.
If you thought some of the imagery in his past novels made you shudder, you haven’t read anything yet.
Is there nothing this guy’s mind can’t produce? Strap in and/or strap on, and get ready for a slippery ride…

We have Honeybear and Babydoll a couple who loves exploring their kinky side, but due to what they enjoy they definitely keep things on the downlow. Then one night their typical play makes an extremely turn... and Honeybear and Babydoll have new challenges in their relationship... and new found kinks.

I loved this story, it had the twist and turns, the pacing was amazing. it's a short one but hits the spot. You can tell even in the craziest parts of the book just how much the two characters love each other through the craziness that happens.

Christopher Robertson if you are reading this omg I would love a second book with Honeybear and Babydoll!

I don't normally read smut, but since I've loved everything else by this author I dove in and ohmygod! This was so wrong and so funny. Think Weekend at Bernie's if they were doing no-no things with poor Bernie.
