This is a testimonial of a man's journey coming to faith and the spectacular way in which it happened. When God wants your attention he sure knows how to get it!
Having only given his life to Christ seven months prior to his dramatic encounter, Larry Welch, then goes on to have many more encounters with the Lord that reaffirms his relationship and how God is working in his life. I could identify with the ways in which God spoke in this man's life having had many encounters myself, it really is encouraging to read others testimony of faith and builds up the church.
My favourite part of reading his journey was when he shared the story regarding the Eagle [want to know more? Sorry, you'll have to get the book!] and what's more I really appreciated the photos he added, that was a lovely and powerful touch.
I am glad this man has shared his story and hope it greatly encourages others to do the same.
Jesus meets us where we are. His revelation to each of us is uniquely presented, for we are His unique creation. The journey through life on Earth to eternal life in heaven has different twists and turns, but the same truths, the same destination.....eternal unity for all in Christ, with God, by the Holy Spirit who makes us one.
I am so grateful to God for bringing this book to me. Larry’s “miracle landing” is so wonderful. I instantly told my sceptical husband & even he looked impressed!
As a private pilot I found Larry's recounting of his miracle landing on a congested Houston Texas freeway riveting. Having been part of another pilots miracle landing tailing him out of rapidly encroaching fog by suggesting an airport via Internet chat with his sister and he made it before fog enveloped hm I fully got it that God does intervene where man cannot!! This will boost the faith of many and will lead others to a saving relationship with Christ ?
This was an ok book. It was about 2 chapters worth of material stretched into a book and by the end I was skimming. I did like the authors voice, I liked the airplane landing story and was interested in his born-again story, but he presents Christianity in the way of, if you believe in Jesus nothing bad will ever happen to you! That got on my nerves through the whole book.
This story encouraged me because I'm always seeking more of God and because I believe it when the Author says that now is the time to tell his story because more of God's glory will soon be revealed. That's good news! Beside scripture of course!
One of the best non-fiction inspirational books I've read lately. Good non-fiction inspirational book to go along with your christian fiction books or any book collection. Very inspiring and well-written.
I believe in miracles, and I believe that God is at work in our lives in supernatural ways that we don't always recognize. Larry Welch's conversion story is compelling, and the description of the miracle landing is awe-inspiring. The only concern I have about this book is that it points out only miracles and God's leading the author to do things he wanted to do. It didn't address pain and suffering that most Christians endure at some points in their lives, even when they also experience miracles. To dwell only on the miraculous gives an incomplete of the Christian life.
