Hidden Falls – An Exciting New 13-Part Serial Novel from Shiloh Run Studios
Thirty years of small-town secrets—now the key to the mystery is gone. The small town of Hidden Falls is abuzz. Former students, friends, and loved ones are prepping for tonight's big event to honor Ted Quinn's many years of compassionate service. Quinn is reluctant about a night in the spotlight--but is tenderly prodded by Sylvia, mayor of Hidden Falls and Quinn's dearest friend and confidante.
Ethan and Nicole won't let the shadows of their pasts stop them from returning to Hidden Falls--but only for Quinn--no matter how much it hurts. Liam, a former student, and Jack, a town newcomer, are both hoping the night works toward their own gain--or, if they'll admit it, their chance for redemption. Like Quinn, Dani and Lauren are mainstays in Hidden Falls. They keep close to home--and have secrets to keep close, too.
Now it's time. The guests are seated, introductions are made, the spotlight shines on center stage...and the unthinkable leaves the entire town scrambling for the truth.
A new must-read episode releases every week starting January 24!
I’m imagining you. You walk past as I water my front flowerbeds and we wave. You check the time as we both stand in a long line at the grocery store. You sit in front of me in church. I’m at my table in the coffee shop and you’re at yours.
We may smile politely and move on with our separate lives. Or one of us may speak, a simple invitation to conversation, and the words flow between us.
Here the adventure begins. When we meet someone new, we never know where it might lead.
I’ve been married over 40 years and have two adult kids and a son-in-law. We live in stunning Colorado at the foot of the Rockies, where the day lilies in my back yard grow as tall as I am. (No short jokes, please.)
Not every piece of my life is pretty, though. Some days I want to throw out whole chunks. But I am living each day looking for the grace of God to me, in me, and through me. Having your companionship along the way will help uncover a lot of great stories.
I continued "binge-reading" this series, combining the last three portions. While I'm not the biggest fan of the serial format, I definitely did enjoy this story!
Episodes 11-13 The action really picked up in the final three installments, and I really found myself invested in seeing what was going to happen next! In fact, I was so intrigued, that I read the final three in 1.5 days! The author did a great job of tying up ALL the loose ends--and throwing in a few twists as well! I was impressed that I never quite figured out everything, which doesn't happen that often!
Final Thoughts Olivia Newport is a talented author. Being able to tell so many stories that stand alone but also weave together to be part of a larger story only further attests to that. While I was initially overwhelmed by so many characters, I ended up liking this aspect of the book and am looking forward to seeing if readers might be offered a "Season 2" of this series!
I received a free copy of this book from Barbour Publishing through Net Galley in exchange for my fair and honest review.
Well, what can I say now that I have come to the very end of Olivia Newport's Hidden Falls Serial. I have enjoyed this and if you are one for Christian Fiction , Mystery and Short Stories then you will love this serial. It has taken me a few months to read , but I found it best only reading one every now and again when I needed something quick to read on a lunch break etc. In Episode #13 we finally see the return of Quinn and discover where he has been and what he has been up to since his disappearance and the big question of course was Why did he disappear and why couldn't he tell anyone ? Ethan and Nicole have decided to stay in Hidden Falls , Lauren finally gets a HEA with Cooper and Sylvia finally gets her HEA when Quinn asks her the question she has waited to hear all her life. Liam can finally relax and move on with his life as he discovers the truth behind the Blackmail note and the "real culprit" gets what has been coming to them. This has been a lovely ride and I think everyone who wants a nice Christian Mystery Short should check out the Hidden Falls Serial with Episodes #1-13.
The wait is over the final episode of Hidden Falls is here. It is good. Though the first page made me go back and read the last chapter of episode 12. I admit to getting a little teary eyed reading Distinguishing Marks.
This episode answers most of the questions that have been asked along the way. It all makes sense and you can understand why the choices were made. But some of the choices made at the beginning of this episode makes Ethan worry about Nicole when she goes missing too.
I like Ethan's choices he had to make over his career and future plans.
The town comes together in fun ways as the day progresses. I like the call Jack gets from his daughter. It really made me small.
This is a clean read, and a very fun episode. I do wish it was longer.
The characters are good, and I am going to be sorry to see them go. Their is a new character that I would love to know more about.
I was given this ebook to read and agreed to give an honest review of it.
It comes together in the end. We find the reason for Quinn's disappearance. Why he did not contact anyone was not explained to my satisfaction. There were red herrings that seemed so important at the time but were not important at all in the end. The best part of the whole novel is all the relationships. Cousins are now friends. Old sweethearts are together again. New sweethearts are finding their way. See my complete review at http://bit.ly/1ianyMd. I received a complimentary egalley of this episode from the publisher for the purpose of an independent and honest review.
Well, I feel as if I have been on a Netflix binge! I have finished 8 episodes in 3 days -- driving in the car, on my headphones while walking, and through my ear buds while playing solitaire in the office. I believe the episodes got better as they went along. I bought them for $1.99 each, and would do something like it again. I'm glad I did do these earlier, where you had to wait for the new episodes to come out. If you a good story (or several that interweave with each other), an easy read -- this is for you.
What an awesome conclusion! I have loved this series and getting to know the people of Hidden Falls. Now I want to keep knowing them. they have become like family.
