In one form or another, dolls have been a part of human civilization since the early ages, utilized in religious ritual or gifted to royalty, but the journey from adult hands to those of children involves centuries of development, now summarized here for the convenience of all young doll fans! Werner offers up-and-coming doll aficionados a simplistic but generally informative history of the doll, with an interesting selection of photos and engaging historic timeline to follow. Where were the first dolls from, and how did they become what they are today?

It was an interesting read on the history of dolls. I really enjoyed the anecdotes that were found throughout the chapters.
