Author of over seventy books so far. Living on the beautiful west coast of Scotland with my husband, twin daughters and a cat called Mavis, although I am originally from Lancashire in the north of England.

My tastes in all things are eclectic, which extends to my writing. Although I primarily write crime books - especially gangland thrillers - I also write gothic historical romance and fantasy. I publish on Amazon Kindle and some of my novels are available in paperback too. I also have a traditional publishing contract with Boldwood Books.

When I'm not writing - which isn't very often - I enjoy reading Daphne Du Maurier, Edgar Allan Poe, Shirley Jackson, MR James and the Brontes, among many others. I also enjoy swimming, walking and spending time with my family.

Too much talking and history not enough story.

Admittedly I haven't read any of the series before or after this title. I got to 37% and after realising it was all happening in a hospital on a ward, I gave up.

I'm sure there are lots of plot points I've missed in the preceeding books but my god how much boring dialogue and exposition can we take.

I'm sure somewhere along the line the story of Ryan & Rachael has been written but I'm pretty sure it doesn't need to go on for this long. Maybe I should read the book directly before this one to actually experience what happened before. Alas, I fear it would be too dull and poorly written to make me care.

Could do with an edit, as plenty of typos... not a fan of Martina Cole either so this is really trying to emulate those novels.

Not for me.

Shattered, by
Heather Atkinson

I was so looking forward to starting this book.

We are back with Rachel, and Ryan.
They were made for each other.
Has life got better for them now?
Did they miss the club?

When you have a family, you don’t want the old life anymore.
How ever, somebody might come along and bring the past back!

Great read 👍👍

I've really enjoyed reading Heather Atkinson 's books, I just can't put them down and #5 was just as good. Every available opportunity I'm reading it or thinking what's gonna happen next. Can't wait to get stuck into the next book.

Action packed

These books just keep getting better, the gangs, gangsters, the violence this book is full of it. Ryan and Rachel Law , Alex Maguire being three of the central characters. Need to get the next book and see how it continues. I would recommend this book to all.

Shattered (Dividing Line #5)
Heather Atkinson

Contains strong language, sex and violence.

Well after just finishing book 5,4,3,2 and one, back to back- fantastic story line I just couldnt put it down, i had to keep reading a few more pages at every opportunity. I'm actually gutterd I have read all 5 and have to wait until the summer for book 6.
I love it when I find an author who's books I enjoy but have not read them all yet, as it means i get a good few weeks out of reading them all. And after enjoying this series so much, I will definatly be reading more of her books.
The characters were interesting and at different points I found myself loving and hating the main characters, which is always a good sign and the story was action packed. Without giving away the plot, the twists and there is plenty of them lull you into thinking that the ending will be different to how it was.
This book continues the story of the Laws and Maguires, and I can honestly say each book has got better.
An absolute must if you like Martina Cole style books.
