"The Fun of Being in Start-Up" provides a comprehensive roadmap for moving through the thrilling and challenging world of start-ups. This book relates to the thoughts of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Through this book, Rathod has explained how a start-up helps you to broaden your mind and you push yourself to limits that you can never imagine. Though many people see problems everywhere, some grab the opportunities.
Rathod has also mentioned that a 9 to 5 job has a great impact on your mental health and what if someone has various ideas of business or doing something new in his mind but he doesn't get time to do it because of his current job. He is restricted to the limitations. The main foundations of start-up marketing has been explained. Readers will be immersed with deep knowledge and information after reading this book.

This book is very well written reflecting on the Entrepreneurial journey, talks on the reality that few are ignorant in the glory glittery. Entrepreneurship is extremely lonely, not explanatory or could be reasoned to anyone and comes with lots of life style changes, patience, self descipline and lots of courage to take decision everyday, most importantly to live with the decisions that obviously could/went wrong as thats the learning and application of business. Probably the only book I have come across so far dealing with the mental preparation before you startup, the importance of aligning your whys and most importantly managing yourself during your journey.
The writing style is very fluent and effortless to the point and can be finished within 3hours of read time. Irrespective of your current position as aspiring, wannabe, ready to go or already on, I recommend you to read this book to note down few crucial things that would lay foundation to your journey or if you are a veteran or already in, still read to remind yourself few basics of your initial journey (like in my case).
This book is not for the glory of glittery seeking or the procedural steps of what to do or definitely not like, lets startup this weekend and become a unicorn.
Highly recommended to read to get mentally aligned, checklist at why you are starting up and what should keep you going at a basic level (mindset wise).
This book is a vital guide and a wellspring of inspiration for individuals across the startup spectrum - from enthusiastic newcomers to seasoned founders, educators, mentors, and researchers. This book takes a refreshingly concise approach to the entrepreneurial journey, providing a roadmap that resonates with the wisdom of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam: the realization that our greatest resources often lie within us.
The authors' journey from inspiration to action, influenced by Paul Arden's work, reflects the book's ethos of turning unconventional thinking into tangible startup plans. It's evident that this book is a labor of passion, a product of years of dedication, and a valuable companion for anyone embarking on or advancing in their entrepreneurial voyage.
The message is clear - the time is ripe for innovation and entrepreneurship in India, and this book serves as a beacon for those eager to make their mark. With accessible resources, access to funding, and a supportive ecosystem, this book encourages readers to tap into their potential and contribute to India's economy and society.
It is more than just a book; it's a call to action for individuals who aspire to bring about change, make a difference, and seize the abundant entrepreneurial opportunities in India and beyond. It's a reminder that the world is waiting for their unique ideas and contributions.
Review : The book is a guide for all startup enthusiasts, founders, researchers, educators & mentors.
The dedicates the book to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and the author also started the book with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's words and ideologies of the Entrepreneurship. And as we read we get to see how the author really admires him and how much the work gets the inspiration from there.
As for the book, I like how the authors represents everything an entrepreneur is going to face or things he needs to prepare for, in a very straightforward way. And how they starts the book with a chapter name - "No Fun, No Gain, Only Pain! (Ouch) - Don’t Remain On the Sidelines." So even though the book is very straightforward, the authors tried to make it light and fun to read by choosing some little bit different words, which I appreciate a lot.
And I also like how the authors didn't finish the book just giving some ideas and guidelines but also giving us their own experiences, their success, their struggles, their failures and the encouragement.
So I would definitely recommend the book to all the current entrepreneurs as well as the newest ones who ever need some guidance and assurance.
