Second Coming of Christ
Having been solicited on numerous occasions by friends who love the Blessed Hope, to prepare a small comprehensive pamphlet on the second coming of Christ, illustrated with a few simple charts for the information of those who may desire to know about the Lord's return, the author has prepared this little booklet and sends it forth on its mission praying that God will richly bless its testimony. Contents: second coming of Christ; the transfiguration; spirit world; the resurrections; immanency of the second coming; history of the doctrine; church vs. the kingdom; is the world to be converted before Christ comes? signs of the times; poem: He Shall Come.

Clarence Larkin is the old Dispensational teacher who tried to clarify the jig-saw of Dispensational interpretation with helpful charts. In this book, he explains that the second coming (Heb 9:28) started with the rapture and ended at the start of the millennium. The First Stage of His Return is called “THE RAPTURE;” the Second Stage-“THE REVELATION.” Some Dispensationalists today, such as Thomas Ice, say that the rapture is not part of the second coming. The second coming only means when Christ sets up his material kingdom. The first future coming is the catching up into the clouds of the church before the seven-year tribulation. Larkin believed that we live in the days like Noah's, where others say it is the "left behind" Jews who will live in those days. Larkin makes more sense to me, but I'm not a Dispensationalist.
"Some hold that the Church cannot be both the “Body” and “Bride” of Christ, and that the “Bride” must be Israel. But we must not forget that there are “Two Brides” mentioned in the Scriptures, one in the Old Testament and the other in the New. The one in the Old Testament is “Israel,” the Bride of Jehovah, the one in the New Testament is the “Church,” the Bride of Christ."
Larkin, Clarence. The Second Coming of Christ (Illustrated) (Kindle Locations 1018-1021). Kindle Edition.
It seems there are two brides. If the Trinity is true, then God is a polygamist. Maybe Joseph Smith was right about the practice!

A must-read for born again Christians interested in learning fundamental doctrines of the Holy Bible.
The author provides unique and vital illustrations in this book. It is jam-packed with important doctrines in the scriptures, such as the Transfiguration, the Kingdom of God versus the Kingdom of Heaven, and pre-millennialism versus post-millennialism.
There are many references and King James Bible verses used in this text. If you are looking to increase your knowledge and understanding of the word of God, you must dive into this book. Another good thing about this text is the length; bible believers will be happy to know that this book is less than 100 pages long.
Please note that there are a few minor spelling errors in this book, but they will not hamper the reading experience.

Jesus is Coming!
CL is an excellent author who gets deep into the Eschatology of Last Things. I love his writing style and scripture comparisons for an in-depth look at the Coming of Christ.

Even though this book was first written many years ago, it still rings true today. The end of times is coming soon and God will rapture his Church. The second coming of Christ is near.
