***This is a rerelease. Previously titled Imperfect Street Love
Diamond has it all except the woman of his dreams. The local street pharmacist wants to solidify his place in the game and appear more stable, so he wants to settle down. But in doing so, he finds himself in the biggest war of his life.
Ellie is fresh out of college and moves back home to Miami to be closer to her family with two things on her snagging her dream job and finding love. A chance encounter with Diamond gives her the option of being loved unconditionally, but she has to betray the person closest to her to get it.
I felt the pacing was off for a novella. Like a lot of story was set-up but then quickly spiraled to conclude by the end. There were some threads that felt left dangling.
Two people who dealt with the wrong prospects over and over afraid of love find each other and fall heavy for one another. The only problem is she turns out to be the sister of his enemy. Which means he’s the enemy to her brother. A beautiful love story blossom between the two with a happy ending.
