I am head over heels in love with this book . Never liked romance until now .

I had such an honor to read Lara Henley's debut Romance Novel in exchange for an honest review!
What a superb job! What a cliffhanger also! I cannot wait for more of this series. I really enjoyed the book. It was very sensual, sexy, and suspenseful which makes a perfect read for me. I felt like the book had very good flow.
When I start reading a book, I have a habit to start researching my characters and find in mind how they would look. It helps me enjoy the read better :)
I had looked up some models/actors to find fit for each character because that is a habit I have on each book I read. I have Gavin as Shemar Moore, Lara as Zoe Zaldana, and Nila as Kenya Moore.

I found myself drawn to Lara. She and I are alike in so many ways. Gavin, oh don't get me started on him, I adore him. I thought my Kindle was going to melt. Now, did I love all the characters, that I loved to hate, but they made the story that much better. I screamed out loud a few times and was left wanting more!
I absolutely loved this book! Pulled me in from the start and wasn't let loose until the end when I screamed!! I cannot wait to read the second part of this book! 5 Stars, and that is low. If I could give it more I would.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a great read. The characters are amazing and will keep you guessing as to what Lara or Gavin are going to say let alone do next. Of course let's not forget the CRAZY lady Nila (let's just admit it now we ALL know at least one Nila). Lara has an amazing talent as an author to leave you wanting more. If you enjoy a great read and LOVE and cliffhangers Lara Henely is the author for you :)

Lara Henley's novels keep getting better and better with each one I read. The story line was so good and the villain Nila and in some cases Gavin's own mother kept the book on a suspenseful edge that was very frustrating for the main characters' shot at love. The cliffhanger left me wanting more, please write quickly! I can't wait to find out what happens! :)

I really enjoyed this book. It was a good read for a cold snowy day. In my opinion this book had a bit of disconnect in the plot. I would recommend to my friends to read this book but it isn't as cohesive of a story as Lara's other books.

This will be a hot item to read. Keeps you turning the page and wanting more. A little romance with a little suspense, you never know what will happen next!! LOVED IT! This Author has made my favorite list!! Looking forward to reading more from her!!!

Very good book! I think I actually yelled out loud at some points while reading it. As usual, she left me in anticipation of the next part of the story... I can't wait to read the next one!

I was enjoying this book up until a certain point. It started out so great, then my interest dipped mid way through the read and then peaked a tiny bit again. How an author chooses to write a story, I have no problems with. If they want to make a character do something I don't like, that's no problem as well. I won't based my review on that. However, Gavin to me started out so strong; the curiosity of who he is and the mystery around him is what kept me fired up. Then, here he goes with the choices he makes that will later come back to haunt him. At times he seemed weak especially the scenes he has with his mother and sometimes with Nila. My fire for him slowly dies as my attachment and connection to him faded. Towards the end, my feelings shifted again to kind of liking him as he tries to prove himself to Lara, but it wasn't the same as the way I felt in the beginning. Lara, I liked her character, but the author did something with her character that was so random and unexpected that I was uncertain how to react to it.
Also, I know they are in another country, but using the word shag to describe the sexual act was ruining the vibe of the read. I just don't think its a word that I would like to see in my romance novels.
Overall, this was a likable story believe it or not. The consistency for me was a bit up and down at times, therefore, my enjoyment was the same. FYI, there is a cliffhanger. I am beginning to hate cliffhangers.

This was a very good story! Lara and Gavin are a beautiful, sexy couple in a tropical setting. They are instantly attracted to each other but can't quit get it together. Lara knows something's going on, but is shocked when she finds out the guy is royalty. Add to the mix--a bitchy ex-girlfriend (who doesn't consider herself an ex), a domineering mother, and the fact that someone seems to be out to get Lara, and it adds up to a well-written story. It ends as a cliff-hanger, and I'll be anxiously awaiting the next installment.

Royal Pain by Lara Henley was enjoyable. Yeah, there were times when I wanted to yell at the characters to just get on with it already, but all in all, the story was excellent and I enjoyed it thoroughly. My only complaint is the ending....yeah, I find cliff hangers evil, but holy cow! The sneak peek at the next book made up for it!
