Rate this book
The Forest of Bleeding Trees is a horrific delight, a fast-paced ride that will leave you breathless and exhilarated until you reach the unexpected but satisfying end. First you have the straight-shooting but heroic JOHNNY TREADWELL, a handsome young man with backwoods charm and unwavering devotion to his family. He's also the guardian of a thousand sorrows. Enter the mysterious, Gothic, LILI MACLUSTER, a darkly beautiful daughter of the richest though most preternatural family in town--and keeper of a thousand secrets. In stark contrast is KATRINA MCCOY, the studding blond princess of the town's most prominent businessman--and survivor of a thousand waking nightmares. Together they will fight for their lives in a supernatural turf war that takes place in the superstition and ghost riddled mountains and bogs of West Virginia.

I can't believe that I finished it and now I have to wait for the next one to come out... This is a whole new kind of torture, but in a good way. The entire book was amazing as I have come to expect and know that I am going to get. There are still so many questions that aren't answered but that is the beauty of this series. Not knowing everything and leaving you guessing it awesome. Also the fact that its not your normal predictable story line just makes it better too. The ending just makes me want to jump into the next one and I feel as if I might die from the wait lol.

Amazing Read

The Matterns have done it again. You have got to read this book. With families stemming from the Hatfield's and McCoys the feud is still going strong. Johnny Lili and Katrina and the rest of the Treadwell and MacCluster clan must fight to retain control over a rising evil. Action galore, some romance thrown in the mix made for an awesome read. Will definitely recommend to fellow readers and friends. I am never disappointed by these authors. Great job!

Hot Paranormal romance.

Ms, Matters is the goddess of writing. A strong paranormal romance that keeps you on you feet not knowing what expect. Exquisitely written, I can only hope for a sequel to keep this story going. She writes living art, so much that you feel yourself there then whole time. I applaud young goddess on being the mistress of horror writing!!!

I seriously did not see that coming!

The Forest of Bleeding Trees by P. Mattern is filled to the brim with supernatural mystery and a splash of romance thrown in! Johnny Treadwell is your average teenager just trying to finish high school and take care of his family as the man of the house after his father passes away. When the MacLuster's move back to town, Lily asks Johnny to help restore the home to its former glory. Of course Johnny says yes, desperately wanting to help his mother financially.
There are so many twists in this novel, I almost got whiplash! Every time I thought I knew what was going to happen, Mattern threw in a curveball. I got so caught up in this story, it was hard to put down my device even to sleep… but I can sleep when I'm dead. If you enjoy ghouls, werewolves, angels, demons, and so many other creatures, then you have to read this book! I'm giving this book 5/5 stars!

The Forest Of Bleeding Trees

"You don't fight the monsters to beat them; you fight them to become them." Wow what a ride! Johnny Treadwell is a dirt poor, low country boy, just trying to keep his family fed and sheltered. Katrina is the most beautiful girl in his class, and has always loved Johnny. Lili had recently moved back to the old family manse, and sets her sights on Johnny.

This ISN'T your classical love triangle; far from it. Each of these characters have hidden depth and secrets, and each must face their deepest, darkest fears to achieve their most cherished desires and to finally defy fate.... Or do they?

This story captivated me from the first sentence. Twists and turns, plots entwined with subplots, all leading to a finale that will leave you gasping. I loved it!

Looking for a good fantasy mixed with horror elements? This is it.
A small town West Virginia boy becomes entwined in lives of two upscale girls, one a friend the other an alluring newcomer whose family hires him as a repairman.
Secrets both great and small are revealed, love grows and hurts, and finally an exciting clash, in the forest of bleeding trees. A very good, fun to read book, that should leave you wanting to know what could happen next.

Fantastic story from beginning to end!

I loved this story and how it spun history into the storyline yet kept it in the present. Love family history and creatures all blended to make this book impossible for me to put down. And no cliffhanger!

The new Hatfields and McCoys

This is a book unlike any other that I have read. It is a new take on a very old fight. Things are different then they appear. It will all be clear at the end. Well some things.
