Secure Forever: What God's Word, the Bible, Says Concerning the Eternal Security of the Believer

Rate this book
Since the first publication in 1974, Secure Forever has been widely acclaimed by Christian ministries and Bible colleges because of its clear presentation of the subject of eternal security. In this inspiring newly revised edition, Harold Barker examines the word of God with scholarly care and simplicity. Using the strong evidence of scripture as his foundation, he skillfully explains why it is impossible for the believer to lose his salvation. The fact that the believer is secure forever is supported throughout the book by insights from great Bible teachers such as Latham Chafer, Ironside, Wuest, Rice, Newell, Dehann, Straus and others. One of the many strengths of this book is its in-depth discussion of misunderstood passages. Reading this book will help anyone clearly see that salvation is the perfect and complete work of the grace of God, apart from any human effort. God's infinite keeping power is certain because it is based solely on the finished work of Jesus Christ.
Yes, for the believer in Christ, salvation is once, for all--and forever!
“Secure Forever is a book that all Awana leaders should read and share with others. I recommend this book to anyone in Christian leadership because its central message, the eternal security of the believer, is fundamental to a clear presentation of the grace of God. I personally treasure its message, as well as my lifelong friendship with the author.” -- Art Rorheim, Founder-President Emeritus, Awana Clubs International
“Knowing that one is securely saved for eternity lays a bedrock foundation for a fruitful life. Secure Forever will help anyone who questions his eternal salvation by showing him from the Scriptures Christ’s finished work.” -- Duane Stous, Former Director of New Tribes Bible Institute; Member New Tribes Mission Executive Committee
“I have read numerous books on the subject of eternal security, but Harold Barker’s work is the best I have ever read. The book is laid out masterfully; the information is thorough and complete. I give this book my highest recommendation.” -- Pastor Timothy Kelley, Grace Church, St. Petersburg, Florida

I like this book because I found out I was saved by finding the bible verse describing my experience. God spoke to me like He did to Abraham. He promised me travel and He told me if I go to Italy I will get my wish.
