This story is based in England’s 19th century, of hard times resulting in hardships of yesteryear; dictating life, love and separation, for common and privileged people. The author pulls you in and lets you dare to predict an outcome! Detailed to the point of being able to smell, feel and hear things while evoking an emotional response to every situation! You won’t have a choice; you will be drawn into this journey with no way out until the end. This story is brilliantly crafted! When away from the book; I was constantly thinking about the characters and their situations until I found myself right back in the story where the scenes would immediately envelope me again! I hung on every word, right to the finish!
