This book was the hardest to get through for Purpose Institute classes. It was very dry and read like an organization ledger. If thats what it was meant to be then I suppose it hit its mark. I would have been much more interested to learn about the history and time stamps of major changes in our guidelines and beliefs and the reasoning behind those changes/updates.
It seemed like every chapter was 'Name change, merger, name change, merger, name change, THE merger.'
History has always been a struggle for me though. It doesnt hold my attention at all.

Wonderful account of our history

I sat under Bro Clanton, the son of the original author, and loved him, his family, and his ministry. This book is informative in more than just dates and facts. There is so much here that allows you to see how relationships hung together. Loved it

A good history of UPCI, but needs updating.

I love the United Pentecostal Church, but this is a very white-washed version of her history.
