When it comes to going to the next level in life, the area of finances is one in which God desires to increase and expand us to greater levels. Wealth and riches are the inheritance of the believer; however we must release our faith in God's ability to increase us more and more, even to the point of bringing generational wealth into our lives. As we prioritize our finances and commit to making God's way of doing things our primary focus, we can begin to experience the financial blessing God promises in His Word. In YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE WEALTHY, Creflo Dollar gives spiritual and practical wisdom on how to position yourself for financial increase. Not only must you activate spiritual principles such as walking by faith and obedience, but you must also learn how to operate in a level of stewardship that demonstrates character, responsibility, and wisdom. Anyone can reach the level of divine wealth that God desires for His people to walk in by doing what is necessary to receive the abundance that rightfully belongs to us as songs of God. You are supposed to be rich.
Creflo Augustus Dollar, Jr. is a much-sought-after conference speaker, with books, CDs, audiotapes, and videotapes in worldwide distribution. Many of his works, including The Anointing to Live, Understanding God's Purpose for the Anointing, and The Divine Order of Faith, have been added to the curricula of Christian colleges across the United States.
"...the amount of time you can live off your current resources without actually having to work for a living is a good gauge for determining how "wealthy" you are. Wealth not only deals with having money in your bank account but also the ability to establish an inheritance for future generations...Wealth is all about making wise decisions with your resources today, so that you can build a better tomorrow for yourself and your family." (Dr. Creflo Dollar, You're Supposed to Be Wealthy)
The Author begins this book defining what true wealth is. He says there is a difference between being wealthy and being rich. He says that when a person is rich, it means they have a lot of money; however, wealth is more than this. Wealth and prosperity also includes peace of mind, health, and flourishing and loving relationships. He says "wealth starts with a mindset...A poverty mind-set will always lead to the dwindling of finances rather than increase, meaning that the person with money will eventually end up at square one, with little to nothing. Similarly, when a person has a wealthy mind-set, it is only a matter of time before his or her bank account goes from $10 to $10 million. This is because wealth begins with the way we think, regardless of what we have in our possession."

I found this book had many practical suggestions and advice on wealth building. Everything from investing in your first house to establishing good credit. One thing that you will not find in other books is his counsel on relying on the Holy Spirit in your finances. He says concerning the Holy Spirit, "The Holy Spirit will always save you time, money, and energy, so pay attention to His voice." He has another book on this topic about relying on the Holy Spirit in your finances called The Holy Spirit, Your Financial Advisor: God's Plan for Debt-Free Money Management.
Final thought: I think this book has a balanced view of what being wealthy truly means. Wealth not according to the standard of the world, but according to the standard of the Word of God.
Initially, my hope was to listen through the book and take notes simultaneously, but I just made it through the first 10 minutes and realize that won't be possible.
Audiobook notes: Introduction- 1:35: "It is God's will for Christians to prosper financially." 2:21: Difference between being rich and being wealthy: Rich- has a lot of money at the moment. Can still have a poverty mindset, always leads to dwindling money rather than increase. Wealth: starts with a mindset, only a matter of time before their bank account goes from $10 to $10 million. Wealth begins with the way we think regardless of what we have in our possession. 4:04: "Christians are called to be wealthy, just as our Heavenly Father is wealthy." 6:04: "Wealth is designed to enable us to establish God's covenant in the earth through our ability to bless people until all families of the earth are blessed. Being wealthy isn't just about you, it is always about other people." 7:21: "God never created us to think and behave as if we're not worthy of the best that life has to offer."
CH 1- Quotes Phil 4:19 "19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." & 2 Chronicles 1:12 "12 therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I will also give you wealth, possessions and honor, such as no king who was before you ever had and none after you will have." 10:33 "It is not God's will for the unGodly rich of this world to be the biggest givers and the most notable financiers of charitable outreaches. God desires that His people walk in a level of financial prosperity that surpasses the world's." 11:03: "It takes money to do all that God has called us to do," 11:13: "When we have more than enough, we can truly begin to establish God's covenant in the earth by being a blessing to others, until all families of the earth are blessed beyond measure."

I gave this read 4 Stars because it really sets the foundation from a biblical perspective concerning financial stewardship. This, I feel is where we are missing some of the Mark's regarding financial wholeness. I look forward to reading more of Dr. Dollar's books and recommended reads.
