Hypnosis is often misunderstood and even I’ve been guilty, in the past, of characterizing it as something less scientifically-based and more suited for entertainment purposes.

Not so. At least, not so for me since I’ve educated myself a great deal about the way it works. In “How to Hypnotize People Easily and Effectively” you learn the science behind the technique. How our brains work in two ways and how those ways pass and deflect information. It’s an intriguing text, and one that isn’t just for people wanting to learn hypnotism. There’s an overview on the cycle of sleep and how the two parts of the brain (ego and ID) pass the reins during the process. And there’s an even better section that explains how we all practice self-hypnosis, and probably some more than others, without even realizing it. Have you ever zoned out while driving a familiar route and don’t really even remember the trip? We shake our heads and wonder how we managed to drive well, obey the speed limit, get home in one piece, and then we blame it on preoccupied minds. Close. In reality it’s a form of self-hypnosis and this book does an excellent job in breaking it all down.

There’s another section on Rapport Building and it’s beneficial for anyone wanting to get ahead in life. Very important skills are laid out, and yes, they are the building blocks for a successful hypnotist to use, but people wanting to positively influence people in their personal and professional lives need to learn this, too.

If you want to master the art of hypnotism, for use in either a therapeutic or entertainment setting, this book is for you. You learn the five steps, the different stages of trance, techniques, and entire sections are devoted to induction scripts and phrases.
The table of contents is located at the end of the book and is click-able, which I like because it makes it easy to revisit your favorite parts. This is well-written, more informative than you can imagine, and a solid 5 star purchase.

Most disappointing thing ive read in 25+ years. If u want a book that spends 140 pages telling u to print business cards & be confident over & over with 2 pages of scripts on how to actually induce someone, then this book is for you!
