About the author

Dianna Hardy

39 books321 followers
Dianna Hardy is an international bestselling author of (cross-genre) fantasy fiction, most notable for her dark paranormal fantasy and the raw, intense Eye of the Storm series. But her heart-warming Once Times Thrice series proves she thrives in the light as much as the dark. Whatever your poison, what she loves most is to bring you stories that are action-packed, fast-paced and not short of heat, with the focus on character development, relationship dynamics, and the plot. She writes full-length novels and short fiction.

Although quite active online, Dianna prefers the quiet company of nature and animals to the hustle and bustle of people. She loves anything paranormal (she doesn't really consider it "para"), organic food, walking barefoot, the smell of the woods after rain, and summer days.

However, she is also sustained by coffee, chocolate and the occasional vodka.

Having graduated from Richmond Drama School (London) in '98, she spent the next few years in a multitude of jobs (both acting and non-acting), studying anything that fascinated her, searching her soul, and finally found her passion where it had always been: at the end of a pen.

She currently lives in South Hampshire, England with her partner and their daughter, where she writes full time.

This series - comprising novellas, novels, and a sweet short story - was really hard to put down.

I can't do justice to the series without leaking spoilers - and that, I don't do - so I'll simply say:
:: it's incredibly imaginative
:: there is a surprising breadth to the story arc
:: the characters are clearly-defined, likeable (even loveable), and sometimes unexpected
:: it's packed with emotion and romance, as well as paranormal adventure
:: the worlds feel authentic
:: the writing contains some stunning imagery.

Overall, a truly memorable read. Please be aware that it contains explicit sexual content.

I was so happy I was able to read the entire series at once. I loved every moment of this series, all of the twists were unpredictable. I'm hoping there will be more.

I am a huge fan of the author's Eye of the Storm series but also The Witching Pen series. I have recently completed a re-read of both.......

So glad I did! TWP is a tangled web of magic, mayhem & hotness. Angels, demons, witches, shifters, prophecies  (the list goes on!) and an action packed detailed storyline from the start. Plenty of twists and turns which I love,  especially when you can't anticipate what's coming.

I found these books to be a complicated and emotional journey for it's characters and me as the reader. The detail within is simply brilliant and you have to hand it to Dianna for her outstanding imagination.

Each character has their individual role to play which simultaneously is interwoven with others. Combined with mythological and Arthurian aspects this series is a fantastic read. You are constantly wondering how things will progress.

Every interaction and circumstance has a reason and a role to play, leading to one hell of a revelation that changes everything.  Love, sacrifice and loss are the ultimate emotions in this series.

I've found it very difficult to write a review without giving spoilers but it has to be special for me to recommend a book or series to others. I guarantee you will love it!
