Designed as a reference for NASA’s X-15 missions, the men who flew them, and the planes themselves. Pictures, diagrams, and details of each flight help to create a volume that provides readers with an exacting look at the work done by test pilots such as Scott Crossfield and Neil Armstrong, both of whom flew multiple of the missions in this program.

Readers and researchers alike will find much to appreciate within these pages.

Not intended as a cover-to-cover read but still a great resource for the X-15 fan. I just started Milt Thompson's "At the Edge of Space" and I imagine this is more of a curl up by the fire book. Stay tuned for a review...
I might also suggest "Hypersonic, The Story of the North American X-15" by Jenkins and Landis as a more palatable and photo-packed volume.

This is one of the longer and more redundant in the Apogee series, if you plan to read it cover-to-cover.
